lookism is a great manhwa for anyone who is self-conscious about themselves and self-improvement with tons of actual arcs, drama, action, and self reflection. a comic where bad guy is not always bad guy, just a different half to the whole story. theres tons of chapters and even then binging it with skipping has more than enough to satisfy multiple prefrences at one point theres even crossovers of other manhwa comics tying into canon so youll enjoy the twists of their story that once had nothing to do with each other and was thought to be just another story. its like if you made supernatural action shows brought into a slice of life and then told you that chaos alone made a korean drama show with and then just kept adding other shows to make a multiverse traveler fanficion to fit that base world and its laws of reason.

It's been so long since I last read Lookism from webtoon and it's nice to have an anime adaptation of Lookism 😍🤧😍

Despite the obvious showing of the moral lesson, most people still ignored it somehow. Truly a society moment

I didn't think I would like this animated show, but two episodes in I was hooked. The story was interesting, amazing character development, and you want to know how the story concludes. It's kind of interest how teachers allow the show's extreme bullying to take place. They hardly ever notice anything.

I actually really like this adaptation. A big problem I had with the comic is the characters always looked too similar to me. I kept getting confused and am embarrassed to say that I though that two girls in the story were the same person for a while Edit: Some people are getting bent outta shape cuz I'm saying this BUT FROM THE COMMENTS YOU CAN SEE IM NOT THE ONLY ONE WHO HAD ISSUES WITH IT.

This is the most korean thing ive ever seen. Vocal class gang? Architect gang? This is straight up culture shock 😲

I relate so much to this show. I was bullied for being fat and ugly in middle school then i bloomed in college. I realized that people really treat you differently when you look attractive. You will have to accept this reality and fact that good looking people have an easier time interacting with people but it has additional cons along with it. Random people will tell me that I look like a celebrity and that I should go pursue it but I do not want my career nor my life be focused on HOW I LOOK because this is all temporary. I also have issues with trusting my SO that he may only love me because im pretty. I must say that I always strive to be genuine and authentic. Im not active on social media as I am not used to the attention and the attention you get is so shallow. I want someone to love me for what i do and what I look like because Ill get old and ugly. Im also very kind to women and men who i can see are insecure with the way they look and I always convince them to try to workout and eat healthy as a start. I actually spiraled up. I started losing weight, then I started looking good. I started becoming confident not only with my looks but with school work too. I graduated with honors in college. To those who are currently "ugly". Eat healthy. Workout and everything else will fall into place because you learn discipline and you will gain confidence in everything.

Honestly, this animation is great. The characters don't look identical. They all have character to their appearance.

The art is amazing and i can see how much hard work was put in but they changed the characters too much and lookism artstyle was one of my favorite parts

I just watch the recap, and haven't heard of this manga or anime before.. Just base on this short vid, tbh, it really depicts how people can be double standards, also how people judge based on look.. I thought it might go in the wrong way but we can tell MC proves himself,Quite nice

I've been reading lookism for years and I'm glad to see Vasco got animated. He is my favorite since the early chapters even to this day

This was actually a pretty good adaptation. The designs were slightly improved imo and the pacing was better. A great way for people to get started with the series

Wow. This takes me back. I had this same idea when I was a kid, only slightly different. I would imagine that when I fell asleep I would awake as a prince but in another dimension, and so I had these 2 lives. So it was very cool to see this play out as a cartoon. Makes me wish I had written down my ideas back when I was a kid!

It's sad that he still has to change bodies to escape the bullies. Sadly the reality is true. But one thing I learned here is collaboration. To help those hurt by evil people. Another learned to bring joy to all who are oppressed, no matter how big or small.

I have been reading this for so many years now but I suddenly stopped because I just can't read a book that's still ongoing 'cause I forgot the last ep I read. But this story is really great! I just love how when the story progresses Daniel found confidence in his og body!

I was reading this while it was still a webtoon. I absolutely LOVE when webtoons become books or animes. It shows how much talent the artist has. I will admit that when i first read this webtoon the brutality of the bullying in Korean media shocked me. It was horrible and uncomfortable but made watching the MC grow rewarding

bro...i stayed up until 4am to watch the whole thing.......and I don't regret it one bit, it's so damn fire, this anime lived but to the manga

No teachers would stand up to bullied victims especially a skinny and pretty person like me have been bullied my whole life they've always let them get away it's so unfair that I hated schools and the teachers ever since😔

I have very high hopes for this show considering it’s an adaptation of the Webtoon (lookism)

I need to watch this anime, I've never been very invested with recaps before. Maybe just a watch then find the name and plot later, but I was invested from the first to the last minute. Then finding out it ends on a cliffhanger had me shout.

Shit was so addictive that I read 420 chapters in just 2 days Enjoyed every single bit of it and shit heavily inspired me to start my martial arts classes one again. This anime was so hard to watch at first, I almost stopped it. Just the way he was bullied for his looks and then his mom sacrificed so much so he could move and have a fresh start was sad enough. But then he tries to make friends only to get bullied for being friendly 😭. I’m glad it turned out better at the end and hopefully the second season will come out soon!

It's a Chinese drama, park Solomon can speak Chinese. All the episodes are also available here in KZfaq. I can relate so much to the series. Going through junior high and high school I was overweight had no friends was constantly bullied. I hated the world and I hated people. When I graduated high school I started a crusade on my body and my mind. I started losing weight gaining muscle I can honestly say that I transformed into a completely different person. Then I went to college I expected to get the same treatment that I got when I was in junior high and high school but it was the exact opposite. People would talk to me girls would talk to me look at me even smile and blush. For the longest time I didn’t understand why and then it became clear to me. And my level of hatred for the world and people couldn’t be any higher. I found out the hard way society is shallow that’s just the way it is.

This anime... is the one that hit home. I was a 200+ pounder and well... yeah his life is very similar to mine (the mistreatment) but much worse. I would have to drink a bunch of girls spit from a used soda can at least once a week because I was a new student and knew no one. I do not blame my parents for anything, they did nothing wrong. They worked hard to place food on the table so I decided myself that it was not fair to give them extra problems. That dog part? I teared up at that part because it hit me like it did when I was a 6th grader. If I didn't act like a dog, I would get my lunch thrown into the trash and my wallet not given back (which really only had 10 dollars at most a lot of times I had it with me) I'd go much further into my depression phase but I would want people to know that if you're hurting and being hurt, rely on those you trust most. Unfortunately I didn't have any close or even regular friends as I was a loner a lot. However When I became a 9th grader everything changed. I got muscular and self trained myself with a lot of calisthenics involved and some weight lifting and well, the rest is history. I was no longer the "loser" I was and all those that mistreated me got karma back at them so hard. Whenever I told my friends that I was bullied or mistreated by this guy or girl mentioned, they get mistreated and avoided real quick. But I told them not to do that, but instead just hear my story and know what they've done. In the end I've forgiven all that hurt me even if it wasn't intentional, always remember that moving forward is always a tough part in life especially when trying to make a change or heal. Well I've talked enough, great video and I'm wishing for a season 2 of Lookism!!!!
