I purchased the Phonak Lumity Life 90's 2 weeks ago, I am very impressed with them. I use Bluetooth streaming a lot, talk on the phone several times a day. Put them on at 7 am until bedtime at 10:30 pm. 16.5 hrs most days & still at 10 to 15 percent. The battery case charged them 8 times before it was completely drained. My Wife is very happy too 😂 she doesn't have to repeat everything she says anymore. These things are a Winner in every way. Thanks for all you guys do. Theirs a lot of great advice on your channel.

What did Phonak reply when you told them about your problem with the small size of the charger?

I came from removable battery technology (Phonak) and last year bought two Oticon rechargeable HA's and i LOVE them. I'm not going back to removable battery technology i absolutely love these. I also have custom RIC molds. I love the charger for them, holds 3 charges unplugged fits the custom RIC molds and thankfully the case does indeed shut with them, for me it's my kitten who has shown an interest in anything on my nightstand so currently only has a lamp, clock and my charger. I never leave it open with the HAs inside of it or he'll take an HA (or both) and i'll never find where he's hidden them. Oh also battery life on these is decent i've only come close to running out of battery once (10%) and that was a super long day (18hr plus day). Oh and i have a solar brick (battery pack) that i use for dry camping (when we go camping it's for a week) i can get 8 full charges of my charger (which then holds 3 charges) off that brick. This was my primary concern going wireless and the solution has rendered it a moot point. The only thing i don't use is wireless on my HAs or at least i try not to, maybe my phone when i get/make a call but that's about it, i use headphones for everything else because the drain is too great. I get why these would not work for someone else. Especially those relying on wireless connectivity. Though i could also see someone with dexterity issues having an issue changing wax guards on these. So far, i'm ok.

I have Phonak Audeo Lumity L70 RL Life and a custom ear mold (only 1 hearing aid) and even though I have only 1 hearing aid and 1 ear mold it gets crammed inside the Phonak Charger Case Go and it's a little tight for the ear mold fit but luckily I can fit it

I have been wearing hearing aids for 36 years. I just got a rechargeable pair in which the battery can’t be removed. So far, so good. I wear my aids at last 16 hours a day. The charge is supposed to hold almost 24 hours.

I had for over 10 years Oticon Epoq HA (both ears) batteries lasted me less than one week (5-6) days, and that was before streaming was common. Due to the different sound schemes on each HA one used more batteries than the other so I changed them when needed, but it was a hassle carrying a battery pack. When the first rechargeable that you could use instead of your regular batteries, i tried them, but would not last a whole 16-18 hour day that I normally use them, had still to carry a spare set of batteries. Now I'm using Widex Moment HA, with rechargeable batteries, do between 3-5 hours a day of streaming, and even though still one discharges faster, I'm able to get 18-20 hours on my HAs even after one year. No more dead batteries lying around or suddenly HA turning off due to dead batteries in the middle of a conversation. Very hapy with rechargeable ones.

My resound hearing aids use #13 batteries, and they last 10 days. I’m perfectly happy with them. When my batteries die, I just put new ones in, and I’m instantly at 100% charge. If I forgot to bring spare batteries while away from home, any drugstore will have these batteries. If I had rechargeable batteries, things are a little more complicated if I run out of charge. I’d have to wait an hour or two to charge the batteries before I can hear. And if I forgot to bring the charger, I’m totally screwed, unless my HA’s use the silver-zinc rechargeable batteries they mentioned in the video.

I am about one year in with Phonak Lumity devices and i am still not entirely comfortable with rechargeable battery technology. I get approximately 16 hours streaming battery life on a charge which i think is fantastic. However, i do have an unusual schedule and even 16 hours of battery life isn’t sufficient on some days. . I am awake at 3 am and occasionally have 7 pm meetings. Also, there was a windstorm in the area last month and i was without electricity for 3 days. Even though i had 4 heavy duty power banks charged and ready to go, they did not last until the electricity returned. Rechargeable versus disposable batteries was one of the major pivot points for me. The other feature that was vital was a telecoil. While i am generally pleased with the performance of my devices, there are times when i lose battery power at an inopportune time and wonder if i should have selected the disposable battery option.

I love my Phonak Audeo lumity l70 life,lol Just to let you know Phonak estimates battery life to last from 16+ hours. My hearing aid can last up to 27 hours without streaming and 14 hours with heavily streaming. With my charger the charger can charge the hearing aid 15 full times.

The largest problem Phonak has had recently is recharging. Chargers and hearing aids have been replaced. My Paradise P90 charger was one of the bad ones. I still have and maintain my Phonak Marvel M90s with replaceable batteries, and they have never caused a problem. Phonak says that rechargeable HAs last 24 HOURS, and people actually get 14-16 HOURS. My M90s get five DAYS on disposable batteries. Rechargeables are not even close.

I’m still putting in batteries in my Oticon exceeds superpower. Maybe next HA I might consider rechargeable batteries. My daughter has Signia rechargeable comes with a portable charger. She seems happy with them. My son opted for Phonak Nadia with changeable battery. He doesn’t like having to worry about charging it on his long days he’s out & about. Can see where family of hearing aid wears. lol! Anyway, this was a good topic/discussion. I enjoyed it. Thank you!

Have recently upgraded from Oticon Opn to Reals. I stream a lot. With the opn and the connectclip i got a good 20+ hours w the rechargeable batteries, with the Reals I stream directly from phone to ha. Sadly my rechargebles are lasting only 14 to 15 hours. I only sleep 6 hours so 14 to 15 is insufficient. Thinking about returning the Reals and waiting for the Intents. Hopefully the Intents have a better battery life with streaming.

Our clinic has actually boycotted Phonak hearing aids because of all the charger and earmold repairs. Hopefully we'll start working with them again, but right now the amount of repairs is too much for our clinic.

I have a new pair of Rexton and it has changed my opinion of rechargeable. It will go a good thirty hours without recharging. This is a change from my old HA's that would not make thru the day.

You can get custom earmolds for AirPods and I have considered it because they fall out of my ears but I know they wouldn't fit in the charging case with the earmolds attached.

My Paradise rechargeable batteries didn't last a full day after a couple of years. Sent them back for repair and they work fine for now, but in a couple more years I will probably start having the same problem and they will be out of warranty then. Always had disposable batteries prior to the Paradise. Will probably not get rechargeables in the future even if I have to change brands.

I like my virto paradise p-312. Before I bought them, I tested rechargable RIC Paradise and I really like and hate them at the same time. I hate them because their rechargable technology just sucks. I use a lot of BT connectivity and sometimes just after 14-16 hours they are dead. It was annoying. And I wonder, how long will they work after 1, 2 or 3 years of use. 12 hours, 10 hours? This is simply unacceptable. If Phonak puts their current battery technology into Virto series it will be drama. I certainly won't buy their product in the future if they don't improve it.

Question. Can inductive chargers for phones and watches charge hearing aids?
@taylorbaldwin1776
@taylorbaldwin1776 6 ай бұрын
No you have to have the charger case that you put hearing aids on. And you can. Only use the charger cable and wall adapter that comes with your hearing aids. The manufacturer (especially phonak) doesn't want you to use 3rd party chargers (I.e Phone chargers) as they don't have the right voltage to charge it. Yes using a phone charger cable can charge the hearing aids but it can damage the hearing aids battries.
