Tried this recipe, and not only is it FANTASTIC but it makes the kitchen smell sooo good! I will never fry a cube steak again. These are so tender you can cut them with a fork, and in fact one actually fell apart coming out of the crockpot. 👍👍👍 I served it w/ mashed potatoes and corn, and put the gravy over the mashed potatoes as well as the steaks and WOW what a meal!!

Good to see a recipe using Golden Mushroom soup. My Mother had some really tasty weekly recipes to choose from growing up. She would mix up sliced potatoes, browned sliced ham, onions and a gravy made from Golden Mushroom soup and other types of pork seasonings to taste, mixed together and put it in the 350’ oven for about an hour and 15 min., it was so good with a big green salad on the side. Mom is an amazing cook. She understands how to mix seasonings with different veggies and meats. It’s a gift because I’ve had to work at it from day one. Thanks for your recipe too. Looks yummy! 😊

Does she have any REALLY GOOD/AMAZING/"YUMMY IN THE TUMMY"❤ [& I THINK old fashioned] Swiss steak🥩? I've been looking for FOR WHAT SEEEEEMMMMMSSSSS LIKE FOREVEEEERRRRR!! My grandmother👩🦳 used to make it for me but she's now 101 y.o. & stopped making it like ...ummmm.... 15-20 years ago?? I think?? ANY-WHOOOO ~~ She fried it ❤on the stovetop [on med? OR low??] for a long, LONG time so it was nice & tender, but because she'd breaded it, it was also like crispy-ish... well - it had crispy bits on it [where it was in contact with the cast iron pan], made its' own type of REALLY THICK pan "gravy" [for lack of a better term/ word] that I would've GLADLY eaten it smeared on a used/dirty flip-flop!! But it was so "AMAZE-BALLS"! ~ ESPECIALLY over rice [or ANY side dish - but my fav was just plain old white rice!] I'm almost positive she used dried onion soup and GARLIC, & of course salt & pepper..... OTHER than that - I have no clue whatsoever about anti ng else...... Just thought I'd ask because you had started in your comment how good of a cook your mom is!! If not, NO WORRIES!! 💜💙🤙🏻🐾🤙🏼💙💜 Mahalo & Aloha Nui Loa!! P.S. There were NO tomatoes 🍅 - just SEEMS like LOT of the recipes have them in them.... just fyi. & I have no clue about the type of steak [cube? flank? filet? - I know it was lean - that's it . ... she HATED fat!] & then butter?? oil? Both? .. I KNOW it's a HUGE ASK! But just took a chance.... THANK YOU MUCH!

I think the people who are saying the meat is dry are probably cooking for too long, all slow cookers are made differently and some cook hotter than others. Mine is the crockpot brand and I’ve noticed I can usually get away with 1-2 hrs less than most people will call for in the recipe. You just have to learn your slow cooker. I’m trying this recipe next week it looks delicious!
