Hi guys! Tamarind juice is very nostalgic for me, it brings me back to when I lived in the Dominican Republic. We use to pick tamarind and make delicious juice along with other fruits. It's an honor for me to show you a piece of my childhood. I hope you enjoy this video as much as I enjoy drinking the juice!

We did the same way in PR. Strain it, otherwise all the tamarindo particles stay at the bottom of the glass.

Growing up in Puerto Rico we used to make Pasta de Tamarindo, tamarind paste. Basically you remove the seeds and mix the tamarindo with sugar. Just mix and mix till it turns into a paste. We loved it.

Very straight forward and clean video, informative. If you're drinking tamarind for it's medicinal properties the sugar comments are fine. Discouraging sugar is appropriate given obesity and diabetes issues prevalent in many parts. Thank you for the video and no sugar option is best. : )

You can blend it in the blender for a little bit. It won't break the blender. Then you just have to remove the seeds. Blend it again to remove the remaining seeds. Also use a strainer for the seeds and flesh. I guarantee it works. This is how we do it in Brazil. There's no problem at all.

The seeds are also a delicious snack. I like my tamarind juice with sea salt, lime, agave or jaggery( try out these sweeteners for a new twist) and a little Serrano pepper fresh. Chill shake and Enjoy! Don't add the Serrano until you go to drink it. Put in a slice or two with seeds, shake and let sit in the juice as your drinking. Put more or less depending on how much spice you want.😋

Regular rose water does not have that strong flavor as the concentrated ( and probably synthetic ) one. +Hananan Abdul Of course you can.. Might I suggest Stevia.. Agave is really expensive and you will use a whole lot.. Stevia is like a sweetener multiplier also, meaning if you like the flavor and want to put in a little agave then augment with Stevia, the Stevia will change to taste more like the Agave it steals the flavor and enhances it.
