I’d advice you not to go around passing Islamic verdicts. He’s merely recitations poetry. The polytheists of Makkah were reciting poetry long before Islam and so were the Arabs around them. Did the prophet prohibit his companions from poetry because ‘it’s part of the way of the polytheists’? No. Poetry belongs to everyone. And the style he delivered it in is probably the way of his culture. Again, don’t go around passing verdicts and ask a scholar if you doubt something.

Poetry/qasaaid/nasheed are permissible in the 4 madhabs as long as they are without musical instruments and the words are aligned with the principles of the Deen. Caribbean poets sound like I do and they are not Rastafarians. The way of the Rastafarians is praising Haile Selassie, using herb as a sacrament, growing dreadlocks, singing reggae MUSIC etc. NOT doing SPOKEN WORD about Tawhid. What are you on about? You are writing a message in the English language, are you imitating the Kuffar? You're username is Sebastian, are you imitating the Kuffar? You are not a scholar, FEAR ALLAH and don't make our beautiful religion repulsive to others by forbidding what Allah has made lawful.
