Oh my God, I was just sitting here crying, praying getting ready to enter into a full blown depression asking God what is wrong with me because of these very same situations. Eyes full of tears I asked God to help me. Then I looked down at my phone and this video was in my notifications. No more depleting myself to save others. Thank you!

Thank you pastor. My husband is an abandonment cyclist. I was abandoned by my father and I told him this and he is using it against me. It's been 10 years and 2 days ago he said he was leaving and there is nothing to discuss. This time I said ok. He is currently in the other room while I am watching this video cast on my tv loud. I know he is waiting for me to fix it like I always try. Thinking it's my job as a wife. He's going to be there forever. These videos and your loving way of teaching snapped me out of it. It's not just him, he has taught all three of his children to act like it's my job to take on all of there toxic emotions. He let his daughter call me out of my name repeatedly. This is my first time where instead of being scared he will leave, I am ok with it. I am scared, but I am courageous. I appreciate you, these videos felt like a father talking to me and I have never had that. May God bless you and your anointing and your ministry and your family in Jesus name Amen

Wow. I’m definitely a co-dependent. I’m not gonna lie when I say it’s not easy to let him go. He’s done everything you can possibly think of to me and I can’t break that soul tie. I’ve tried to be strong to break this but I keep going back. Pray for me please. I don’t want to be this person anymore.

You're so right. I used to be a fixer but it was draining me and my resources. I finally decide to mind my business and not waste my time worrying what they are doing and helping them when they mess up. That's enabling. I told my mother once, please don't call me everytime you and your children get in a fight. It was messing up my peace. Had to take myself out of their drama and since then my life has been so much better

This man got me wanting to join his church!!! Its 10.2.2020 and when I tell you I am in the middle of divorcing my husband of 19.5 years, with whom I've been with since I was 22yrs old. I am now 41 yo mother of 3 who stumbled upon a video one day and I've been hooked ever since. All I can say is THANK YOU PASTOR RC BLAKES JR!! I'm definitely an emotional empath who has struggled since I was 16yo as a pregnant teen mom with physical, emotional, mental, and sexual abuse. My Broken Conciousness kept me down and out until I ended up in a mental hospital. Finding you on KZfaq has changed my life and all I can say is THANK YOU from the bottom of my heart for everything you do for US!

I’m in the process of healing from my encounter with a narcissistic personality type, and I’m so grateful to the Most High for helping me through this experience. These type of people can do so much damage. They literally mentally, psychically, emotionally and spiritually suck the life force out of you. It took months to recover. But I thank God that all things work for his purpose.

For years I was dealing with a narcissist and didn't know what the issue was. I was Co- dependant on the narcissist. You have taught me so much on toxic love, narcissist, and self worth... Narcissists are more habitual and pattern driven and the things they do to ignite fear and hook you in are insidious and are done over a very slow but prolonged period of time (2 years). The psychological effects on the brain and body to the victim from the fear and stress and constantly trying to see through the fog are remarkable. You are literally in a debilitated state, you become hopeless and mentally and physically drained. Long story short you can tell them nicely but they are sneaky and relentlessly look for a way into your life. You can run, but they already looking for thier next way in....

You explained it amazingly pastor my eyes are popping out of my head. I see I truly was blind. This knowledge comes to me after I threw away 10 years of my life and resources for somebody else.how deeply disturbing that the devil can entangle your mind in a Web of lies such that you become a systematic abuser of yourself and no good to the people around you. but the Lord has begun to restore what the locust took. I must stay focused on Jesus now. thank you for sharing this understanding with such love and compassion

The nursery story was a great analogy of how most of us deal with unhealthy love relationships. I found myself being someone who’s depleted from always trying to fix other people’s problems. Then, I come home with a heavy spirit, much like a “flat tire” exhausted 😩.

I am an animal rescuer. I rescue old unwanted abandoned and injured people too. This seeped into my personal life and I started rescuing sad people....giving them my bottle and rattle and blanket and teddy. I attract the toxic evil narcissist all the time. Woah thank you pastor for this. It was a talk just for me. I thank God everyday for your teachings. You dunno how much its changed me and now I can witness for Christ and to other broken women in a better way.

Ugh. Really hard to do, but true. I struggle with toxic empathy. My ex is now homeless and broke since I cut him off even though I gave him property and money in the divorce. He was financially dependent on me. But I can't let myself get played again. Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice, shame on me. Especially now that I've studied with RC Blakes and Tony Gaskins...

You've just explained the mechanism that used to govern my life. I was constantly trying to fix people and solving their problems. I learned my lesson 2 years ago. It doesn't mean that I don't care anymore, but I've decided to stop caring that much. We are responsible for our choices, and should manage the consequences of bad choices as well. As I've been dealing with the life of dating a narcissist I'm really starting to let go. Each day I find myself learning how to the No Contact Rule. I helped this man in more ways than imagined and when I needed help not only him but even family wasn't there for me. Never knew why I was so loving in the first place. I do however know that God is Love and we suppose to love other's but nowhere does it say we have to love until we're trampled on.... I'm so happy that I came across your video's Pastor its helping me to learn not to be so eager to fix others when I need fixing myself May God continues to bless you

I was in a relationship for 7yrs with a narcissist. I am 2 1/2 years out of it and still working on my healing. These types are predators and will sniff out an empath a mile away. Remaining no contact & educating myself on how they function has been life changing for me.

So very true. I've had it with trying to help people who make no effort to help themselves. So many people avoid for a lifetime doing their own inner homework. I can still love them, but in a more mature way, avoiding becoming co-dependent to their dramas and laziness. I now realize that for so many years I operated this toxic kind of empathy, and now, to break away from that, feels like breathing fresh air for the first time. Thank you Bishop.

Pastor! I have learned so much from you. You've said things that I wish I heard as a young girl I'm 31 and I have come so far in my awakening. AND MY GOD I AM SO STRONG! I'm a single mother to a 12 year old. I was curious if you could do a series on "Women Raising Young Boys" I'm so fixed on making sure his mind is healthy, his spirit and his health is health. However, I don't want to do things out of just not knowing, that could possibly hinder him from becoming a man. His father is involved (get's him every other weekend) However, he's not really teaching him certain things. However, on my part I have in basketball, where he's around positive males and currently signed him up for mentor in school.

I am an empath and I have lived knowing that it's my duty to help people (especially those I consider friends) carry their burdens. Even if it hurts me. I know I have suffered, I have lost because of this. I am glad I got to see this message because I am currently in a place in life where I question my beliefs whenever they don't work for me. I am choosing myself more often these days. This video is a tough wake up call. I know it's the truth. I know it's what I have been looking for. Thank you.

I teach my nursing students on this sort of empathy recently. As a nurse you'll encounter a lot of patients with emotional issues due to their illnesses and we have to empathise. But, this empathy should never be internalised as it drains the nurse. You've got to try and put yourself in the person's shoes and try to understand where they are coming from without taking it on as a burden.

I have never ever in my life felt so stripped down and called out 😭😭😭. I'm only 13mins in and I am an emotional empath. I used to pride myself in being able to pick up and internalise people's emotions even strangers. I'd feel their pain and I'd pain, literally 😭😭😭. Toxic empathy got me into alot of shit. Not anymore. Let me continue listening. 😔

Your descriptions are on point! Many people either want you to be like them or depend on them or they lean on and deplete you. Some people try to make their problems yours and if you don't then they try to make you feel bad for living with healthy boundaries. So sad the state of relationships today. Thank you!

God bless you Pastor. In 2018 I left a toxic marriage after the Lord revealed what it was to me. I never knew anything about toxicity, I just kept feeling at times...this ain’t right. I am now learning to love myself better and have new boundaries as set by the word of God. The Lord told me that “ He would love me back to life”. New doors have been opened and I am excelling daily. Also worth noting in my personal, and professional experience and through research that narcissist do know how to deliver cognitive empathy, it's part of their mimicking (manipulation and mask), it's the genuine feeling of empathy (lack of remorse, repeated negative behaviours, etc) that gives them away.
