The woman giving you that portrait was sweet. You kept saying it was creepy. That didn’t come across well, to say it kindly. Not sure if they watch your videos but I could see a parody video. If that Pearl Jam looks like a vagina you need to get tested for STDs. You were doing great until Ringo. The Malfunction looks great but I wonder how it sounds. Los Nuggetz is one I would love to pick up. Circle Jerks, Husker Du and Malfunction-guaranteed Circle Jerks blew everyone away. A very good haul Mazzy. I haven’t seen anyone show my #1 want.

On my last trip to Seattle, after my visit to that great coffee shop in Columbia, I went to that Silver platters store and reminisced with one of the guys there about being there at the opening of their first store in Bellevue. He gave me something I had completely forgotten existed - a genuine Silver Certificate! Next time I'm in town I'm going to visit Royal Records. I did not know it existed. Thanks! BTW, a band I was in back when I lived there played at a place called Studio 7, east of the Starbucks corporate offices parking area. Is it still there? I really enjoy your videos. The San Francisco trip ones were a lot of fun (I used to live in Vallejo back in the 60's. My father's side of the family is still scattered all over the Napa area) Keep going with those fun videos!

Fantastic selections! I have gone to the past 4 RSD's and never have gone earlier than 1 hour and have found amazingly everything on my list every time except for one year. Been lucky and this year was no exception. Skipped on the jazz this time around but since they were 1st editions, I will pick up the Bill Evans and Shelly Manne later. I did get Parliament, Willie Nelson's Phases & Stages, Talking Heads Live 77, Little Richard's album - Right Now! (fantastic), North Miss AllStars (incredible), Foghat Live 1973; Iggy Pop Live and a rare late add that was not on the national list but was added on the list locally in Seattle at Sonic Boom Records: The Damned-Live at the 100 club in 1976 - their first live show....ever! They opened up for the Sex Pistols and only 1 copy was at the store and supposedly only 500 editions were released ( I was # 295). And yes, I can't stand picture discs as well!

I am curious what the Nat King Cole record sounds like? A lot of what you guys got our stores did not get - even my own local store (only store doing the RSD) hardly got anything he requested. Seemed a lot of stores here were light on this year. Maybe production delays? I do love the RSD videos, so cool to see what everyone picks up.

Up at 4:30 for “a party for the record industry” that no recordshop or dealer profits from. Average pressings, uninteresting titles (anyone really interested in colored vinyl releases of album that they have already?), insane prices and the idea that something is rare or collectible where there are copies available all over the world for months and even years after RSD. Glad that if I want something here you can order your RSD titles and pick them up at the store the Thursday before RSD. No line, no up early etc.

@@mazzysmusic if you consider waiting in line at 7am with smelly foreigners interacting with humans I gladly pass 😄 RSD used to be fun when it was truely a hommage to the classic record store and you got a free Pearl Jam or Springsteen 7” exclusively made for RSD for FREE when you bought a regular album. Nowadays record shops are forced by the record companies to buy a certain amount of titles for RSD with no returns possible at insane prices. I don’t know about you but for me that is NOT “celebrating the independent record stores” but corporate music business at its worst.

I only went out to find Sweetheart of the Rodeo. I went to two local stores in Tampa and called several in St. Petersburg. No one had it by 9am. There were only 2,500 pressed . I saw one album and there must have been 50 or more copies of some band I’m not familiar with. And apparently no one else knew or cared about. RSD was a disappointment for me.You were lucky to find it. It’s a bitch because this won’t show up on a streaming service. But it will pop up on eBay for probably double the price. I like and hate RSD for that very reason. I just called another store and they didn’t even get it in their RSD shipment. Very disappointing this time.

I tried driving by four times. Literally hundreds of people on line. I finally tried waiting but after over an hour had to give up because I had other things to do.
