Question: All of your videos are so informative, but you tend to isolate the lavalier voice sound from the ambient nature field recording, and then you layer music under your voice. I plan a 40-hour vlog while trekking 120 km over 12 days to Mount Everest Base Camp in Nepal. I will have a film crew carrying cameras and sound gear with me. I will use a Rode Wireless Pro and Lavalier mic for voice recording. Because nobody will want to hear my voice for 40 hours, and a music track will also get monotonous as well, I want to record continuous ambient stereo or binaural nature sounds--as we are hiking on the trail. So, finally, the question is, what equipment do you recommend to record the nature sounds without picking up the footstep sounds, and how far away will the sound tech need to be to not pick up my voice? Or is there a way in the post to remove the footstep sounds? If so, is there also a way in post-production to remove my heavy breathing at 5000 meters from the voice recording? Sorry, one more question, is there a way to add time-code to a long sound recording like I am planning?

40 years ago? Wow, I can say that 40 years ago, I was just one year old. :) We've already spent two weeks traveling all around Sri Lanka and have one more video in store, but we've already moved on and are heading to Korea next.

Beautiful sounds as always, Marcel. I recently purchased the DJI Pocket 3 because a full size camera plus my audio gear has become cumbersome, so a question for both you and Libby, if possible? What sort of settings, video format, suggestions might you have to get the best use out of it? So far, with minimal use I'm very impressed with it.

@@FreeToUseSounds Yes, exactly. Does Libby use custom modes when shooting video on the Osmo? Or typically auto for how quick it is? I remember her sharing the schooling she went through and one day I hope for my video to look as professional. @@dylangowland hi, Libby here! I shoot 4K at 24 in D-Log. I use a pack of ND filters and keep the shutter at 1/50th. The only auto settings I usually keep on are ISO (as low as I can go) and white balance (sometimes I'll set my WB to be fixed.) If things are too over exposed then I'll adjust the EV while filming. I hope this answers your question! Also this video includes b-roll with the iPhone 15 :)

Hi! We'll only be at the airport on the 15th, heading to Korea next. We lived in Singapore for 3 months in both 2019 and 2018, but sadly we haven't been back since then. The prices for hotels and apartments for tourists don't seem reasonable for what you get.

@@iamleek For Singapore everything around $1500 USD is fine but you can’t even find a nice decent apartment for this price short term. We’re actually in KL right now. Two weeks :) We always come here for short visits.

@FreeToUseSounds yes 1500USD you can't anymore. I can suggest to you, get a rental car from Johor Bahru drive in to SG. Shuttle to and fro. That's what alot of SG and Malaysians working here do. Caution Caution. The massive Jam during the peak hours and festive session loke these few days... Hari Raya.
