It is so sad that women don't get much help from the medical profession. Either the profession don't care or they don't know. So sad because so many women have these problems. Thank heavens for Dr. Bri and some other videos that address these issues are on youtube. God Bless Dr. Bri and the others for helping us women. I thank God for them.

I'm a 57 year old women who about 6 years ago felt that my vagina was going to fall out of my body. I knew this meant prolapse but didn't know anything else and my medical experience wasn't very informative. I was told I was stage 1. I don't believe this. I wasn't told what kind. And i was only told to do 100 kegels a day along with the option of a plastic cup. Didn't do that. I did get DVD program that I did do 3 years ago and helped. I'm just starting your program. I'm feeling very emotional about learning this info. We don't talk about this topic, women to women. Our OBs aren't talking to us about this. If I knew that my feeling that I always felt like I had a tampon in my vagina meant something was happening with my origins I would have said something. Thank you.

We need to talk about this more. I’ve been struggling with this thing since 1987 and this is what I had at 2021 with at Illinois now and I just it is just so frustrating and night but I don’t know the mileage in the vagina in announcement up there in years and trying to tell you because I don’t know what’s going on so I don’t even have sex that really I don’t. The bold I feel in my vagina is and the beginning of my vagina I’m not sure if that’s what but there is something definitely going on deep within because sometimes you got to use the finger and get real intimate with it as my friend would say and I can feel That muscle not opening and feel little pebbles all in there that I’m trying to manually get out it’s not pretty I’m laughing. I am now 64 years old and the struggle is real. So I’m just getting all this interesting information and I’m so grateful because now at least I know I went to the wrong doctor I should’ve went to the gynecologist I don’t even know I thought that it was something in my belt it just wasn’t working right well it is.

I got so much encouragement from this interview -- I was dx with bladder prolapse 4 years ago - Stage 2/3- was very confident that I would reverse it - well, that has not happened and symptoms have been ranging from pesky to chronic - although I went to two very good pelvic floor therapists, I was mostly left with kegals and the warning to "not lift anything" - I am 64, own a farm with livestock, love to kayak and garden - this advice was basically eliminating my life. Kim and Dr.Bri were so encouraging and supportive - advice that I didn't get from my medical professionals - I am restarting Dr. Bri's program as well as starting MUTU Mama and even if only 2 weeks behind me, I feel a relief in the symptoms - yes, get a pelvic floor therapist but your expertise is going to be from people like Dr. Bri and Kim Vopni

Same here. I'm 63 and very active, and my lifestyle requires lifting things. My gyno told me to learn new hobbies that don't require me to be on my feet. That's crazy! I'm not willing to give up everything I love to do. I've only recently came across Dr. Bri. She has given me hope.

I also found out why with all of my fertility challenges after watching some of your videos Kim Vopni. ( I now am hooked on Dr. Bri's videos) I had a Fibroid and Hysterectomy surgery by two C-Sections and much scar tissue. I now know that this could have contributed to the rectocele. I was so confused as I couldn't have a child and don't have constipation.

I had chronic constipation for years. I went right to my gastroenterologist (a male) who pushed colonoscopy and after colonoscopy, said everything looks good. Take this cocktail of laxatives and see you in 4 yrs! I than saw a urologist, a pelvic floor therapist and finally my gynecologist who diagnosed me with rectocele and prolapse uterus. I finally have an appt with a specialist. Nearly 3 yrs later, I’m finally getting the help I need. I’m so confused why a gastroenterologist wouldn’t even consider these issues when I clearly had symptoms. Thanks for doing this vid 🌺

@cherylannebarillartist7453
@cherylannebarillartist7453 5 жыл бұрын
FemFusion Fitness I saw it!!!! Great information! To expand on what you did cover, lifting is only part of it, how about carrying something that’s heavier then say a full gallon of milk? I “zip”, I exhale when lifting, keeping it ( my plein air painting box) as close to my body as possible, but carrying it any distance greater then a few steps seems impossible🥴😞🎨💕
@vibrantpelvichealth
@vibrantpelvichealth 5 жыл бұрын
@@cherylannebarillartist7453 that's a tough one. It really depends, for a person with mild prolapse usually zipping/exhaling while lifting is sufficient and then you can rezip/exhale when setting the object down (i.e. the TRANSITIONS are when you really need to be most careful)... throughout the carrying process it's usually sufficient just to breathe steadily and not hold your breath. If you're having issues while carrying, I'd be sure that you're not holding your breath. If you're still having issues, then contact a PT to come up with a strategy that's right for your needs. This might involve strengthening your pelvic floor and core to build up endurance, or maybe even releasing your pelvic floor if it's overly "clenched" and too fatigued to provide the flexible support you need during the carrying process.

FemFusion Fitness I need help. This was so informative. I struggle everyday. Had rectocele surgery to no avail. Obviously I was going to the wrong doctor. I was going to the colon rectal doctor because I felt like there was something stuck in my bum and I could not get it out. He set me up for practice your surgery which I think works for like 24 hours really. I struggle every day and I’m just finding you guys out now to understand it should’ve been the gynecologist I went to not the colon rectal surgeon because that’s what he did he did surgery. It’s very difficult and this all happened After giving birth to my son and having an episiotomy which I tried to tell the doctor that he said it would interfere with my bladder not my bowel what ever. Now I’m on a new track with your information and finding stuff with women having the same issues it’s more helpful and I know a better direction to go in now.

3 prolapses here after 6 babies, the last being twins. I LOVE 😆 playtex Sport tampons. The way they open is what makes them excellent. Its helped me to be able to go for over a mile walk without having to pee right before and right after walking. So it’s working like a pessery! I failed being able to use the one pessery my urogyno offered. It locked up my pelvic floor for a few days, which was painful! I am certainly a candidate for surgery, but can’t imagine it being good for me. I love working out and being active with my family. Picking up children is a must at this point. I could use more pelvic floor p/T but I had to travel 1hr 45 min each way to see one. I appreciated the time I had with her but had to cut it short.

I am 77 and had 4 vaginal deliveries. I felt that my bladder was peeking out of my vagina. I went to visit my gyn doctor. He told me that it wasn’t my bladder but a rectocele. Of to my PCP, where you see a nurse practitioner and not necessarily a doctor. She is very gung ho on RX and sending you off to specialists....I proceeded to read up it and saw that the operations weren’t not really good with the outcome...having to use depends or pooping your pants.....my gyn told me at my age that he did not really recommend surgery.....i am not too good about doing Kegels so off to my trusted acupuncturist... I have been seeing him on a weekly basis for approx. 2 months. I have not. Experienced any more bulging in the vagina....and am really on the stool softeners and if I see I haven’t pooped in a couple days....I take a good swig of milk of magnesia and have a neat bowel movement....so maybe, if I am lucky.....I will die before this thing causes me more problems. Just to let you and others know what seems to work for me.

Love your comment here: .."so maybe, if I am lucky.....I will die before this thing causes me more problems. Just to let you and others know what seems to work for me." Great minds, I agree with you and say the same thing to myself with the same problem, that I will do what you are doing and may die before it gets worse. One other thing that I feel is helpful, sitting down, getting comfortable, do relaxed breathing. I honestly believe our tension over these personal problems cause more bearing down on the pelvic floor. Practice relaxing. Bless you. We both are tying the same thing. I am 82 and I notice tension worsens my problem. Bless you.

You need to use someone who is more effected by it tbh... like no offence it’s just that some definitely suffer more symptoms than this video covered. For some it’s literally life altering and effects so much completely changes your life but everything you are both doing is absolutely amazing and the care/medical treatment areas need to catch up and offer so much more support ongoing not just diagnosed see your later. A pessary for rectocele isn’t a great option because when you open your bowels the pessary pushes back on the back wall and means it’s actually harder to go as it’s blocking the way and it can get pushed out while you try to go. Much better suited for other prolapses but the main issue for pessary and rectocele is that the pessary is fitted and stays in place by pushing on both front and back walls which with the bulge is counter productive. But again really pleased to find women working to help people effected as healthcare wise it’s not in my experience a well run area and not much actually offered in treatment and support etc so well done needs as much publicity as possible as it’s often not spoken about xxx

I relied very heavily on laxatives in my 20s to be able to go to the bathroom, and always had gas that I had to hold in. Never pregnant but my v was messed up by my mid 20s, not exactly sure the cause but the ridges and tone are gone, i suspect a mild prolapse of some sort. Since then I've learned: soybean oil is the biggest culprit for constipation for me, turmeric is one of the best gas relievers i've found, and generally taking care of my *liver* (not intestines) is the most important part of taking care of my digestion. Wish I'd known these things when I was younger, hoping exercise is helpful in returning some of my tone.

Exercise, especially targeted pelvic floor exercises and core strengthening, can indeed help restore tone and support to your pelvic area over time. Continue to prioritize a well-balanced diet and consult with a healthcare professional or pelvic floor physical therapist for personalized guidance on your pelvic health journey. ~Vibrant Support

Just went through surgery two and a half weeks ago got a cystocele with a sling and a rectocele. The operation took hour-and-a-half feeling just fine was not in any pain just a little discomfort went home with a narcotic and Motrin but I only took the Motrin one time a day for maybe 2 days and other than that I was fine I'm just waiting to heal up. Im 51 and wanted to get it done while I'm young and not in my 60s or 70s because sometimes they won't perform them or you just get to the point where you just deal with it because you're old. But regardless of how old I get I never want to be incontinent of urine or bowel. It just causes a whole host of new problems especially for your skin.

Thanks ladies, this was a great watch. I have a steady stage 2 cystocele. I love to lift weights and as of late been performing negative and assisted pull-ups but I think may have caused a flare up of my hemorrhoids. I do not have any issues using the restroom, completely grain free and I use a squaty potty! My physio said I don't have rectocele when I first saw her. I asked because basically as long as I can remember I dealt with constipation and straining during a BM and believe I had a stage 1 cystocele before I even became pregnant. I deal with flare ups of hemorrhoids with the slightest of difficult or slow or bulky BMs. Should I perhaps get checked again for rectocele and how can I continue to reach good in being able to do pull ups without compromising my pelvic floor?

I'm 60 years old and dealing with a rectocele caused by childbirth I never knew I had. I spent 2 days in induced labor before my 9lb+ baby was delivered by C-Section. I'm 5' and tiny. At no point did anyone mention that there was a rectocele, or that it could get worse, or that there was something I could do about it. Now I'm facing my elder years in diapers. I made an appointment at a pelvic floor physiotheapist after watching this. I didn't even know there was such a thing. Why aren't women made aware of all this after a complicated birth?

I agree, it's a shame that more people aren't made aware of these common issues. But things are slowly changing (thank goodness) and awareness is gradually improving!!! I'm so glad you made an appointment with a pelvic floor physio -- it's never too late to make positive changes and to see results. Best wishes.

Am only just starting to be able to bend. I couldnt even stand and take a shower for a month. Just toilet stops for the first 4 weeks. It was excruciatingly debilitating....BUT as I start to heal ..am feeling much improvements for my surgery. My anus is a bit problematic but am hopeful as the scarring kicks in it will continue to tighten. I am a keto and intermittent faster for autophagy and am positive it will help my body help it self. Must follow good physically exercises since their early Childhood, important is mothers are to be caring more to avoid such type of problems when their Girls get married. If anything abnormal since time if birth it is natural that you can check with doctor it is exceptional. Also while walking since childhood mothers teach girls to walk with straight feet not zigzag. It will help lot. I m not medical professional but advising for physical activity. Mostly lazy women get such type of problem food has great rule in constipation. Thank you
