I mean if you can do this with denim - you can do this with any fabric scraps (perhaps if the fabric is thin you'll require more layers but still will absolutely work!) it's a new way of recycling, I also think you may recycle not just glasses this way but other accessories too! This is cool!🔥

Generating much more toxic waste.... There are many better ways to repurpose denim without making expensive polluting glasses frames.... Just like those who buy electric cars thinking they're doing a favor to environment..... 😂💩🤡🚮

The glasses are awesome! What an artist 💜 We should be doing more upcycling as a society. Yes, I do it everywhere I can. In my art and in my everyday life! It makes life much much more interesting and beautiful. Much better for out environment. No more fast fashion! 💜✌

I'm not an expert...but it seems to me like this process generates substantially more waste that CANNOT be recycled and also will not biogedrade like simple denim scraps would...it seems like a neat idea but net negative impact as far as environmental waste is concerned. I would love to be proven wrong by someone who knows more than I.

Fast fashion exists for a reason. Affordability and much wider range of sizes. Something will need to replace that for it to end.

@@whatever3145 Try thrifting or using what you already have. There is no reason to keep up with every single stupid trend that exists on this planet. Try wearing and reimagining what you own! I don't understand how people need quantity or quality that lasts weeks over years. I get it when it comes to children but even then people go overboard too! Other countries and your own for that matter may be swimming in wasted cloth from used clothes. Look into it. You may be surprised. If not it's to bad to close your eyes to be a part of the problem.
@phentas

@@ZacharySkaggs You're 100% correct. Don't get me wrong I think this is an awesome idea, but it certainly won't have a positive environmental effect. They are recycling something that is biodegradable, adding a lot of plastic, and creating something non biodegradable. Again I'm not slamming the creator, it's an awesome idea, I love it.

@user-gz5ss4ff4l
@user-gz5ss4ff4l Жыл бұрын
@@XsmaelTheBest7 I completely understand your point. And I'm not at all against the profits he's making. My only concern is the environmental factor. There's a thing about such products, these are mostly manufactured for the premium segment of users and hence, the quantity sold is less. Or you may say, they're priced so high that it becomes unaffordable for the most users. But if it's made for a larger base of consumers by reducing the profit margin, the profit will definitely surpass the previous profit margins with the help of economy of scales. Also, if these products have been truly designed keeping in mind the eco friendly feature, then I think the manufacturer won't be going after huge profit margins, but with lesser profits and huge environmental impact. In the end, it majorly depends on the ulterior motive the manufacturer has behind his/her brilliant innovation.
