Sorry for the late night upload. I did not have time earlier to upload this. The bounty hunter is the simplest out of the three roles. I hope this guide helps. There are two things I forgot to mention. If you have a prompt to hit a target when they are on your horse hit them because it will delay their escape attempt. Additionally while tracking arrows can be useful at times trying to find the materials like the skunk scent glands are not worth it. I do fine without them.

It doesn't even make sense to have a timer. Why would you need to bring in a fugitive in a certain amount of time? This ain't no pizza delivery.

Another tip for soloing two person bounties: Tie up one guy, put him on your main horse, tie up the second, and then put him on a random horse. Ride the random horse and whistle for your main one so that it follows. This way, the chance of the second one dying is very little.

When u are solo, and have to bring in 2 bounty, I recommended hijacking a gang members horse (if possible) and keep your horse near by whistling. This way u can avoid dragging a bounty all the way back to jail.

Well, when I did the Wolf Man bounty, a bear attacked him, and then ran away. I was like... oh. So it was pretty easy for me.

U dont need the reinforced lasso u can just hogtie them first with a regular lasso then kick them until they get knocked out it wont count as dead and they will never get out of it

Wolf Man is definitely possible alone on all 5 Levels, just don’t expect an easy time.

When I have two bounties but no bounty wagon, I put one on my horse, the other one on their own horse, and I’ll ride their horse and call my horse so it follows me.

They need a separate board for the legendary bounty it takes up the tier 3 spot and I wish you could choose if the board held only 3 of each tier I don't want a tier 2 and 3 showing up I don't want to do em

In a way i kind of like that you have so much time. It just allows me to role play more. I ride out and actually take my time planning an escape route an entry point, following a convoy. It just feels more.. movie like.

Dont bring the bounty to the nearest wagon if you still have plenty of time. Instead bring it to the nearest police department. Even tough the drop-off is much further you‘ll get two birds in one stone. 1: completing the mision slower=better rewards 2: bounty board is next to police station so you can start your next mission after dop-off. (my english isn‘t good pls correct me if there’s any error)

I recommend sniping when doing the Yukon legendary bounty from the small mountain on the side. Then go for yukon and before stowing him on your horse free the bears so they give you time to run away to Strawberry

Ah wolf man was good, me and my friend did wolf man max difficultly 40+ times it netted us around 100-112 dollars per run and .24 to .36 gold per run so it was great to grind with normal missions in between the three spawns and having shotguns made it really easy

Even after two weeks the game came out on PC, I went and claimed my free bounty hunter role with my Twitch Prime. I'm glad I checked, saved myself 15 gold bars. I thought the offer ended on Sep 8. But apparently not.

Here’s a tip, shootout a bounty’s horse, this helps with multiple targets. You also sometimes knock out the target.

Set your aim to free aim in settings. It still assists you but you get an extra 25xp. It doesn’t sound like much but it builds up with all the enemy’s you’ll be killing. Especially for lower levels Edit: 25xp per enemy

Maybe it's just me but once you reach level 20 in bounty hunter, you don't have to wait the timer because it seems like I get paid around the same.

Just do the collector cheese to get all the money you need and then use this for XP and gold

With the two target boutnies if ur solo with no wagon you can steal a horse put one on the stolen horse and one on ur main. Ride the stolen horse and tell your main to follow you and you can bring both alive. Make sure to knock out the one on your main horse so they dont escape.

It makes perfect sense. The longer you take for a bounty, the more likely it is you took the time to keep them alive. Quick bounties, even if they’re alive, aren’t well planned and may result in injury. Also, nearly every person I’ve met in game since I’ve started were bandits with bounties.

Tip to anyone. I linked my Twitch account around the 20th of Sept and a couple days later I got the Bounty role for free. So I would give it a try

When doing a legendary bounty (ESPECIALLY WHEN ITS FIVE STAR) Capture the target alive AND start timing the mission as soon as you gain control, MAKE SURE THE MISSION TAKES 30 minutes (you will get TONS of cash that way)

You don't necessarily need to wait the time out you can turn in at the half way mark on whatever time limit is but you'll get just slightly less not much different from waiting

Bounty Wagon enabled me to hit Bounty Hunter rank 30 Solo. The Rile is easily the most profitable for both Cash and Gold. The Experience that comes with it is impressive. I'm only level 58. Trader Role imo is the lowest. Moonshine Role after or together alongside the collector Role. I profited over 80k after purchases ingredients everything I needed in the BH Role. I did not purchase any clothing other then the BH gear

For those of you that are complaining about the amount of money you get from the bounty hunter role, your main priority for the bounty hunter role shouldn’t be money, it should be the gold. If you want money then grind on the collector role for 4 or 5 hours and you have $4,000. *NOTE* If you guys want a lot of money, you should do the collector role and use the online collectors map, if you guys want gold then do the bounty hunter, simple.

They need to fix the board so that either the board can hold up to one of each bounty in terms of tiers and a legendary or just get rid of the tier 1 bounties because nobody is going to play those once they unlock the tier 3 ones because the way it's designed there will always be one free mode one available so it can always alternate between a tier 2 and tier 3 poster

That lasso trick for two-person bounties would’ve been useful at the beginning. Lol. I’m sure I’ll still use it, plus there were many great tips so thank you!

Great guide! You seem to be a good source for help so i hope you can answer a few Questions: 1. Can you play 'manhunt' solo? I dont like playing with others. 2. Are bounties (regular ones) random or do they spawn in the same places every time? I really enjoy the gun fights in RDR2 and im into having more of those in RDO, but the bounty hunting seems more like a lasso fight than a gun fight. So a few more questions: 3. In regular bounties, how often do you get enemies that are not the target (the bodyguards you CAN kill) spawn with the bounties? 4. How many bodyguards tend to spawn with the bounty targets? 5. What is the role (bounty hunter \ collector \ hunter) that involves the most amount of gun fights in RDO? Or what activities tend to attract more gun fights? Thanks for any assistance :)

Don't wait to turn them in. Two bounty missions pay more than one. Take the time to loot bodies but other than that, run through missions as fast as you can.

The wolf man was the first legendary I experienced. I was only level 24 or so, and hadn't even unlocked BH myself. I accepted a random posse invite, and Bam.. cutscene. I had No Idea what difficulty level we did it on till we finished. Turns out it was a 5 star., and probably the most fun I've had in rdo to date.

On the bounties that don’t have an initial timer such as the bounties with a destination you have to search I just take my time getting there and don’t rush, on the bounties that I have to chase down the wagon train or that have a timer right off the jump I just get it over with. I save the delay for ones that aren’t so time sensitive. I don’t wait out a timer I just delay getting there.

When you’re trying to lvl your bounty hunter and the server keeps cutting out 🤪

How to make money with the Bounty Hunter: You don't.

My favorite/easiest one to do alone is the Yukon guy in fort Riggs. Just pick everyone off from the hill with the sleeping guy after dispatching him quietly. Then the cutscene happens where Yukon nik comes out with the hostage. Hogtie him after disarming, then bring him in the house he comes out of quickly before his other buddies show up. Shoot the lock of the bear in the cage close by. Then stay inside and carefully pick people off until they’re all gone. Then all you need to do is ride back quickly, don’t bother with shooting the guys that will come when you’re on the horse, strawberry is so close by you can just get there fast and not have to worry too much. I did all 5 levels by myself this way.

Its not just a big posse that the death glitch affects. It will happen even if you are in a small posse of 2.

Theres actually a 3 dollar sign bounty. Just do a legendary bounty and there will be a cooldown afterwards, during that cooldown go to the bounty board and you can find a 3 dollar sign bounty

I enjoy the Bounty Hunter Role, just need to get the Wagon, and Reinforced Lasso, Usually I play Solo, though being in a Posse might be Helpful...

You forgot to mention that you can just knock the bounty out so they don’t escape so reinforced lasso is useless. And also when the bounty runs away out of your site every few seconds there blip comes up on the mini map so your able to chase them

5:00 you can also get a horse from a NPC, tying them up, put one on the NPCs Horse, put one on your horse, ride NPC horse and keep whistling for yours so it follows you

Whenever I i go after two bounty targets solo. I tie one up and put it on my horse while putting the other on a stolen horse and simply wristle for my horse and he follows. I also do this when hunting and drag 3 dead carcasses. Try it out!

All I did for The Wolf Man was just lasso him, get him out of the area until the bear stopped following me, then tied him up, and last knocked him out then delivered him.
