I'm kinda disappointed that you guys skipped Sean's welcome party to get to know the gang a little bit better and have fun with these awesome characters because it feels like you guys aren't as connected or familiar with the story as you should be 6 episodes in. It also doesn't help that you only get 1 main mission done per episode which probably just makes it easier to forget the plot or the characters. I said this in the last episode but I really recommend catching up on Arthur's journal from the beginning because it gives you Arthur's inner thoughts about the past and present events of the story and it would probably help you guys to understand the overall story better. The open world aspect of this game is great but the story and characters is what gives this game the amazing reputation that it got. In any case, please don't take this comment in any hateful way. I'm just trying to make sure you guys don't lose any more audience due to this reason because that'd be real shame as this game deserves more views on your channel.

The game is just too big for a group of gamers who arent familiar with this concept. It doesnt help that they have every comment on the spectrum telling them to either take it slow, skip things, dont skip things, do main missions, do bounties, enjoy the game by doing everything, that its a slice of life game, etc... it overwhelms them to do everything that they end up doing nothing lol

bro I know, didn't know there was a wrong way to play the game but this is it, its super frustrating to watch cus they are missing out on so much, still don't understand the game mechanics for the most and you are right, 1 mission per game is jokes, its gonna take like over 100 episodes at this rate, the same thing happened to oaks Hogwarts legacy playthrough, he has 3 hours plus episodes with littles missions and mostly stuff that's really cool for you but as a viewer its boring af, he should be already done but isn't even close and he has already invested so much time into it, id get so bored at this point still playing the same game, and the views have gone down to the point where I don't even know if its worth he effort. Not being a hater, I just think they cold get a lot more views and they are kinda shooting themselves in the foot.

2:22 I’m happy you started figuring out how to cycle your weapons while next to your horse 😂 You guys were always saying you left your weapons at camp last part and decided to dual wield a sawed-off double barrel and 6 shooter for a bounty hunter camp 😂 and you DID it! You guys keep pushing 👏🏻

Now that you guys are getting the hang of the gameplay you’ll learn how a lot of it just exists as a novelty to try and immerse you into the world. The camp was having a party you guys missed, you don’t wanna put the gameplay ahead of the story and it’s characters. Hope to see you guys tackle more story missions in a single video. If you guys are confused with the story or characters, Arthur has a journal you can read to better familiarize yourself with the story and characters.

This game’s story missions by themselves run probably 30+ hours. At the rate you guys are going, with one main mission per video, we’re looking at like a 100+ episode playthrough. I highly recommend prioritizing main story missions. Taking baths and changing your clothes really isn’t a priority. I feel you haven’t connected with the story yet, which is unfortunate because it rivals any movie out there. It’s a masterpiece.

@@FantaStrawberry116 it’s fine every once in a while, but it feels like every time they log on to play their first priority is clothes, bath, haircut, and horse cleaning. Before you know it, 40 minutes has passed. They of course have the choice to play how they want. Playing solo and playing for YT episodes do have their differences though. The audience will dip significantly if the majority of each episode is just galloping around looting sardine cans from abandoned shacks.

@@FantaStrawberry116 Calm down. Just expressing my opinion. I know they don’t get a bath every time. It’s the general approach I’m referring to. I never understood the appeal of hunting in the game. I never felt like I was hard pressed for food or cash. Side missions are great. Definitely keep doing those. It’s just different when doing a series on YT. These 100+ hr games don’t translate well to YT if you play them like you would solo. Viewer numbers will drop significantly just as they did with the Hogwarts Legacy play through. Explore a bit here and there, but story should be top priority.

@@FantaStrawberry116 it's not bcs 'we' don't like it. i as a red dead fan is enjoying the hell outta this, but what about the other badd medicine fan? and dogtagduke got a lot of important points. as dtd has said, what i too am afraid of is if they're continuing on this pace, the others wouldnt be too keen on hanging around. you gotta remember that they're running a youtube channel and audience is key. you can totally tell too that right now they're not that into the story because they're busy trying to understand the controls and other game mechanics which is fair; since i (a former non gamer) pretty much was like that too in my first playthrough. but yknow, you gotta remember just how much missions left is there for them to do... and even though beaver hollow stank so bad you can smell it from miles away, with this pace i cant smell it at all.

Fun fact: someone pointed out on reddit today that, when Arthur takes a long fall (but doesn’t die), like from a cliff or ledge, if you zoom in on his eyes, you can see that he’s teared up from the pain. Insane attention to detail

Main missions, guys.. seem to get sidetracked pretty easily. This is a pretty lengthy story so I would suggest each of you doing a main mission per video.. you can always livestream to do side quests/legendary hunts/wandering the map etc. Not saying dont explore, but prioritize the story. And Answer needs to stop tryna get you guys to just shoot people, or rob them just because.

If memory serves. When you are riding through a bunch of trees, if you don’t steer then your horse will steer itself through the trees. It will save a lot of collisions.

Oak is right, when the camp is upgraded to a certain point, Arthur Will get the ability to fast travel. But not only from the gang camp, you can also set up a camp in the wild whenever you want and fast travel from there.

Guys, I would recommend you to mostly stick to your area around the camp for now, even when exploring. Might be better to not come to Saint Denis and eastern areas too often for now.

You really get better at this - well done rescuing Sean! Too bad about the party in the end though -you missed some interesing back story there. Try to really get to know the other characters. It is important story wise as this game functions later on like a movie. So if you don`t get to know the side characters you might miss out on the full experience. The setting is this: you are an outlaw. You feel like family with these guys and have different kind of relationships with each of the gang members. You are on the run to find freedom and a better life. At this point you are idealistic and have a good plan how to get out of this mess. Chose your loyalties with each of your gang members wisely. The better you know them the easier this will be.

Don’t forget u guys must maintain your guns by cleaning them. Just select your gun, press “inspect”/“show info”, then select “clean”. If you don’t clean your guns, they’ll become less effective over time. You can go to a gunsmith and have them cleaned also.

From watching the gameplay I think here are a few things to remember that will make it more fun and easier for you guys 1. These games are cover based shooters. The right bumper or R1 is to take cover. Even from a small distance hitting this will move Arthur to cover. 2. Pay attention to the gun you’re using. If you use a shotgun on someone that feels like they’re far away it’s going to lose it’s efficacy as a shotgun would. 3. The aiming system is auto aim. Rather than aiming down sight and moving the reticle which is very slow move the camera to who you want to shoot before you aim and then when you do it will automatically lock on to who you’re looking at. Also if you guys want a cowboy hat Arthur’s hat is always on his horse on his saddle on the bottom right tan of the item wheel

Go behind things such as buildings and rocks and click L1 or RB to cover, you can shoot at the same time so you won’t get killed

Don't rely on canned provisions to restore your cores. Do some hunting, cook the meat and store them in your satchel for later use. Game or big game meat can easily refill most if not all your cores, plus you'll get gold cores if you season big game meat using mint, oregano or thyme. Also, cooking your own meat is free :)

when you're wanted, make sure to get our of the red circle on the mini map quick enough before any lawmen see you. That's why you ended up being wanted in strawberry again lol. That part made me so anxious watching Quinn slowly loot guys while the calvary was coming.

The treasure is the opposite of what quin said. You actually have to look out for the land marks while you play. Not gonna be on the map at all.

I kinda wanna remind you guys that without you moving the story by doing missions, this game is not going anywhere. Unlike Until Dawn/DBH where you can just go with the flow and explore every nook and cranny and the game will move the story for you, this game doesn't do that. You have to be the one that move the story along. There are still a lot of missions, and when i say a lot, i mean A LOT. There are 6 chapters and you're still only halfway into chapter two. Chapter 2 has 17 main story missions (colored yellow on map). Chapter 3 has 16 main story missions (+1 side story mission; still colored yellow but optional, example: collecting debt for Mr. Strauss/helping Mary Linton; Arthur's past lover that Oak refuses to help). Chapter 4 has 11 main story missions (+2 side story missions). Chapter 5 has 10 main story missions. Chapter 6 has 16 main story missions (+4 side story missions), and the epilogue has 21 main story missions. Don't get me wrong, I enjoy watching you guys play this game whichever approach yall decided to do, but I still recommend just focusing on doing main missions (and stranger mission if you wanna do that too) for the sake of the other viewers. I so badly want yalls video to do good before anything else :')

About the baths, you don't actually have to do the scrubbing to get clean, that just gives you stamina exp. Just getting in the bath then leaving will clean you and your clothes.

Games have honor systems for a reason. Please consider being honorable as an investment in the future. It’s not just there to be a goofy stat to watch ebb and flow. It does mean something in the context of the story.

People need to chill with that. First, if they have low honor ending, that's their problem, it's also part of the game. Second, there are plenty of opportunities in Chapter 6 to gain honor, it's the point of the story, to have Arthur question his ways and his life. You're *supposed* to be able to try and do stuff, especially considering Arthur is a criminal. Like y'all will have them not rob trains or shoot stuff, even tho it's part of the game's challenges?? They're on chapter 2, they have plenty of time to explore this honor thing.

u guys are certainly getting better, but please please please try to connect with arthur's backstory, all the dialogue in camp and outside camp, as much as u can because although the open world aspect is so big and detailed, the story is mainly what makes it so good, and if u don't listen to specific dialogue, u could miss out on very important details. such as sean's party or when ur simply riding to a destination alongside a camp member like in this mission. and i know its hard but try not to overthink things, like for example if you have a side mission and don't receive a reward, u can assume that either there are more with that specific character or it is in the game just to make the game more immersive, but a lot of them it will mainly be just to give u more insight into arthur's personality

If your interested in optimal gun choices, the best type of gun for pretty much every firefight is a repeater rifle. Longbarrel shotgun if you are close quarters. Pistols are fun but vary rarely if ever the most optimal choice. Most other styles of gun are for hunting specific types of animals. If you face the camera directly at an animal you can press L1 to "study" it (use binoculars to study from a farther range). Once an animal is studied, you can go to the animal compendium in your menu and see which type of weapon to use in order to get perfect pelts. You have to use the correct weapon type or you will not get a perfect pelt. Perfect pelts are traded in at trackers (only a few found across the map) or at pearsons wagon to trade in for cosmetic upgrades. Suboptimally, you can sell the perfect pelts for coin.

I’m sad because the story hasn’t been the main focus of this play through at all so far. The best part of the game is to witness one of the most beautiful, powerful, and devastating stories ever told. If you focus on the main quests and really delve into the story and characters like you do in your movie reactions, this will be a very rewarding and enjoyable experience - for you especially :) Thank you for playing this game!

56:24 I always suggest looting bodies and houses barns when you get rid of all the enemies around you, this way you'll pretty much always have provisions.. or you can always just kill a dear or a rabbit or 2, skin them and cook'em on the spot and you'll always have food with you

I liked to do side missions with the main ones cause everything comes to add up later in Arthur’s story. fun fact: if you let go of L3 (or R3? I can't remember but it's the move joystick) while you're sprinting on your horse in the woods/through a bunch of trees, Donkey will automatically swerve them ;) Also, to catch someone alive, use your lasso!

I’d really like it if you guys focused much more on the main story missions (all the yellow icons on the map). It’s a looooooong and emotionally devastating story. I just can’t wait for you guys to really connect to these characters, the same way you connected to Connor, Kara and Marcus!

Mason Quinn first thing I will advise you to do in any fight situation in the game with multiple enemies is find cover behind something. It does not mean simply standing behind something. There is a specific button which put you into cover and that way you can really save yourself from getting shot at. And for people telling to only focus on story missions, don't listen to them. Play however you like, we are here to see you guys play the game how you like, not another story gameplay playthrough. You play how you want to play and that is what makes it unique and enjoyable to watch. All you reactions to various situations and our lord and saviour Mr. Answer providing with epic quality fun is something far more unique and enjoyable to watch. Play this how you want. I myself bought this game after seeing you guys having so much fun in this game, so thanks for that.

The story is where you get the emotion and characters that are the main focus for this game being so good. The open world is fun but this story is what makes it great.

I suggest if you are in the camp make sure to talk to other gang members and knows they're personaity, so that you guys can sympathise with them, trust me it worth it. They are not just NPC but family to you as arthur.

Ya'll need to cook some big game meat with seasoning like thyme or mint for the best types of food. There's two fires at camp. One of them you can sit and craft. That's where you can cook the meat you get from hunting (or road kill lol) or you can set up your own camp in the wilderness and use that campfire.

Heck yeah, super pumped for a new episode of RDR2 with my boys!! I'm glad y'all managed to find your groove, the gameplay has been so much better since you took time to learn outside of the videos and I love y'all for putting in that much effort just for us!! Also while I'm here lemme recommend Gravity Falls to you guys. Y'all NEED to watch it please😭🙏🏼 Edit: if Mr Oak could stop murdering animals with his horse that would be great😩🤣😂😭

I always camp or sleep in a hotel at night to avoid collisions etc..and fill up Arthur's cores...if your horse is dirty just brush it a couple times, if the brush is greyed out just go out of menu and go back in ..note you can't be galloping to brush your horse..you also have the other saddle icon which has weapons in it ..suggest you have the bow in one and rifle in the other .

getting better in playing, guys! one thing i have to point out for higher chance of surviving shoot-outs, take cover. not just approaching a cover like first person shooting games -- like, lean onto that cover. R1 to enter cover, then L2 to aim but make sure the crosshair is near an enemy for it to auto-aimlock (if it didnt auto-aimlock, letting go of L2 will bring you back into cover then re-adjust, and then try aiming with L2 again).

I would definitely use the rifles and revolvers more than the shotguns. Unless you’re in close range (obviously) there’s no reason to use shotguns

A big part of this game is getting sidetracked and poking around the stuff you come across on your way to whatever you’re doing. So take your time. It won’t always pay off but mostly will

yea but the story is so good and I feel like they are going to loose a lot of viewers if they don't play the story cus a lot of people watch for that, just look at oaks Hogwarts legacy play through, a lot of people used to watch it and now its just a fee thousand cus he barely does any missions and progresss has been so slow, nothing wrong but in order to retain viewers, another approach is needed I think, the big channels do it like that as well. If they want the views, they really gotta play more missions cus it's like a movie and people come to see them react to that. Maybe they should watch other big channels and see how they divided the gameplay.

@@anuph.3806 I agree. it can be played slow but doing it once a week is extra slow, not how big gamers stream. They forget characters, plot... Look at MojaveD. He has plays super slow but his views on every stream go up. Cuz he posts regulry. I understand they have lives/Schedule but this game in not built to be played 1.5 hrs a week and relearning buttons. But there Learning! And i have high hopes

you could try setting like a 20-30 minute timer for the switch unless youre on a mission of course during the switch

Gameplay is getting much better ! Just remember in shootouts with a lot of ppl to take cover. Taking cover is key and being patient

You should socialize at camp after missions to get more out of the story. Also, don't need to prioritize bathing and changing clothes every episode lol

You don’t have to take your horse to the stables to clean it , you have a brush and food for it , and your saddle is removable to put on another horse , stand next to a horse you want and bond with it , and then you can put your saddle on it L2 and you can remove your saddle and put it on another horse , and maybe get a better horse

You can always use brush to clean off your horse (be it from blood or mud) or take a swim to clean both you and your horse lol

Are you guys not recording every main story missions? I don't recall seeing some of the bar missions like getting drunk with Lenny... that's one of the best missions in the game, would have loved to see you guy's reactions to it..

You should go to Big Valley north of Strawberry, beautiful land. Also to Roanoke Ridge/Valley north of the Bayou/Bluewater Marsh. Another thing you can try is fishing in the swamps at night.
