Lisa (Rachel McAdams) is being stalked in her house by the killer, Jackson (Cillian Murphy).
FILM DESCRIPTION:
Terror rides the night skies in this thriller from horror auteur Wes Craven. Lisa Reisert (Rachel McAdams) is a young woman with more than her share of anxieties about flying. However, when circumstances demand she go to Miami, she gathers her nerves and books a seat on a late-night flight. Sitting next to her is a handsome and charming man named Jackson (Cillian Murphy), whom she already met in the airport, but once their jet is safely in the air, Lisa discovers he's not the pleasant traveling companion she imagined. Jackson is part of a terrorist cell plotting to kill the head of Homeland Security, and he's decided to draft Lisa into helping him. While Lisa has no interest in abetting Jackson's plan, he soon reveals he's holding a trump card -- his compatriots are holding Lisa's father hostage, and will kill him if she doesn't cooperate. Red Eye was the first feature film credit for screenwriter Carl Ellsworth, who previously scripted episodes of Buffy the Vampire Slayer and Xena: Warrior Princess.

She's such a badass in this scene especially when she striked his hand when he tried to reach for the knife and swiftly knocked it away with her hockey stick. This is one of the few movies where I wasn't only focused on Cillian Murphy in his scenes, great actress.

this movie is really good, I love how simple the story is really but the performances from McAdams and Murphy goes over so well. I'd have to call this actually one of the best thrillers of that decade. It keeps me on my toes like the entire time and most of the film they are just sitting next to each other, but it's the way they interact that is terrifying to me.

this last half of the movie carries more of Craven's signature the suspenseful music, not knowing where the antagonist is hiding, and racking up the chills sure it's very polarizing for a lot of critics and fans but still has enough terror to make the situation more life-like

Why noone noticed but when film started they showed us photo from Rachel's previous movie Mean girls where she's playing hockey. They made accent on that. And then she grabbed hockey stick to protect herself.

He had a haircut during the filming of this sequence didn’t he? He is mighty gorgeous with the new cut in the later frames. It is not on here but they don’t half look at each other oddly once he is brought down by Brian Cox. An acknowledgment of their initial attraction perhaps?

*+The Mystic Unicorn* How is it weird? She is my lord and savior, She is absolutely divine, a goddess, I even think about like starting a religion called the *"Church of Rachel Anne McAdams"* lol. I'm an *Atheist* so I wouldn't actually literally believe she is a god. I've always liked her ever since I was a kid, about when I was 10-years old back in 2007 when I first saw her in the movie Wedding Crashers and the movie Red Eye, again in Sherlock Holmes (2009), and A Most Wanted Man (2014), and I saw the first season of True Detective with Matthew McConaughey (2014) (VERY good show, very intelligent, dark nihilistic show, I'm into dark stuff etc.) and I remembered that she came out in season 2 of True Detective (2015) in which after I saw it is what triggered my limerence with Rachel McAdams even though I've always like her.
