Yes, she looks like a physicist, and like she has all the resources to buy and test each and every red light product. The measurement device alone costs 3-5k for a mid range one. Just use the search function, there are pretty comprehensive comparisons, and no, you won't find your cheap option amongst them.

I started using red light (and other colors) about 14 months ago. I used it daily for 5 months; now 1x-2x a week. It’s more because I have sun damage and dry skin and uneven texture & tone. I saw a real improvement in my skin texture (I’m over 70 but don’t have tons of wrinkles-yet,) the rosacea and hyperpigmentation. I’m quite pleased with the results. I use the Aduro mask.

Happy Thursday Dr Dray ❤ thanks for all your great advice, I stopped smoking five years ago but only started skin care last year. I now wear factor 70 sunscreen and a giant hat outside, and even sunscreen inside no. I also use a red light mask every evening before I put on my retinol, it’s early days but I see some small improvements on my skin. Thirty years of smoking and sun damage have left me looking older than my 54 years but I’m being consistent about this ( and my exercise too!) so hopefully over the years I will stop anymore damage even if there isn’t a huge overall improvement. Keep on educating us all!

A very informative video. I’m in my 60s and have been using the Omnilux mask for a little over a year. I love the results. My skin is smoother and fine lines have faded. But what I’m really thrilled about is that my small broken capillaries are disappearing . I didn’t realize this was a benefit. I’ve never had Botox because my biggest issue is my drooping upper eyelids which as far as I know can only be fixed with surgery.

Injecting botox in the forehead would probably cause your eyelids to become more droopy, but injecting it under the brow near the corner of the eyes can help a little bit with droopiness (my derm explained this).

This is me speaking in the TikTok 👋 to clarify, I didn’t say that other facial muscles work “more,” but rather that the brain will send a signal to express through the face, and in the complex dynamic of muscles involved in virtually all facial expressions, there will be a “tug of war,” the end result of which will be movement that impacts the skin causing dynamic wrinkles. I’d also note that while red light therapy wouldn’t prevent movement and the process of creating dynamic wrinkles through movement, it would mitigate their development. Youthful skin has the elasticity to stretch and spring back, and red light preserves these qualities for longer by 1) thickening the dermal layer in opposition to time thinning it, and 2)stimulating collagen and elastin synthesis which also declines with aging. Additionally, red light has a photoprotective effect akin to SPF 15, and stimulates DNA healing after UV exposure - so if one is comparing the two, it’s easy to argue that red light would be a superior treatment to Botox if one is solely thinking about face anti-aging. Botox has other indications of course. Also given that consumer facing red light therapy is quite new, there hasn’t really been a dataset of people using it preventatively from 20s to 50s, so it is unclear how profound of an effect it might have over time.

But I plan on relaxing a little too and enjoy watching the birds. They are so busy right now and singing so pretty. I sure could use a cup of tea with my dear, sweet friend. I have a few windows open so I might have to pry the kitties away from them for their cuddles. They're enjoying the fresh air. Let's all relax together and have a naughty treat too. Hey Doc, great discussion!! 😊 From personal experience, I have seen amazing results from a combination of “Baby Botox” and a red light home mask . I only get a few units of Botox in my glabella and in my chin twice a year; I use my Omnilux mask every other day. I have been using this method for over 5 years, (I am now 51), and have seen a drastic improvement in my skin tone/texture/fine lines. It seems that the masking allows me to extend the time between my Botox treatments and I have very few static wrinkles. I do agree with you, consistency is key with these masks!! I have never missed a treatment in 5 years, but I am an extremely routined/scheduled person. 😝 Oh, and I move my face a lot, laugh constantly, drink from straws all the time, and just genuinely enjoy life (always with sunscreen, of course!!). 😉

I do use the OmniLux infrared mask and can see a big difference in my forehead and around my mouth. That combination is harmless and inexpensive. I have a Mito Red smaller panel probably about 10” x 18” just eyeballing it. I lift it onto my countertop when I put on my makeup early morning while I do any other skin treatment that day. I think it’s been preventative and helps with my circadian rhythm. I sometimes have it in front of my face a few minutes at night too. My mom used it for miraculous recovery from knee surgery 2x. My eyes have adjusted to the light and while I don’t look directly into the panel I think it’s likely good for eyesight too much like very early morning sun purportedly you are supposed to look toward. But the way I use it I’m always multitasking. Highly recommend. By contrast I’ve never had any in office procedures prob because my skin hasn’t really needed it. I also gave a Nira, a Nuface and Tretinoin. I don’t often wear sunscreen unless I’m going to be out of the shade directly in the sun for more than 5 minutes. but my makeup has some and I always wear sunglasses unless it’s raining as my light blue eyes demand it. But my red light panel is important to me. I hope I can always use it.

I get Botox in my cervical area to help with god awful muscle spasms due to the aftermath of 3 spinal fusions. Also, I get it for migraines. I benefit from having my elevens and my forehead done. It’s helpful all around. I can’t move my forehead and elevens into a constant frown when I have daily headaches… which is a huge win. Otherwise I’d look mad all the time and I don’t have awful static wrinkles as a result. It is HUGELY beneficial in my cervical area and I am forever thankful to the doc who started this process. It’s amazing with how well it helps constant pain after having three spine surgeries. Im not pain free… but my quality of life is incredibly better than without! Red light is just something I am starting with and I am very excited about it’s benefits. At 51 my face is starting to go to places I don’t recognize! 😳

Perfect timing! i just got red light therapy done at my dermatologist office yesterday! My Derm recommended red light therapy to stop pre-cancerous skin cancer spots up by my hairline. I went in at 9:30am, she did a light exfoliation on my face and then the gel. the gel felt tingly but totally tolerable! the tingling went away on my right side of my face by the time she was half way done with the left side of my face. those two steps took a whole maybe 5 mins. then i sat in the waiting room for an hour. then i went into the room with the red light panel (it also has a fan, so it's very tolerable!) she did 10 mins on one side of my face and 10 mins on the other. (the machine turns off automatically after the 10 mins!) i cannot go outside for 48 hours. after the 48 hours i will still be senesitive to the sun for a few weeks. i think she said. she said i will KNOW when its time to go inside, my skin will start tingling. im considering getting the Omnilux Mask, i asked my derm about it, she said its very useful for different things! exactly what Dr. Dray was naming here! i would obviously wait until im healed from my in office red light therapy before i go buy the mask. i do look like i have a little bit of a sunburn but nothing scary. i'm 33 years old. WEAR YOUR SUNSCREEN! PLEASE! 😅

I use omnilux, but I am wondering..I saw another dr video on celeb sour face for lack of a better description…some celeb look like they are smelling something sour and they said it was muscles compensating for Botox in other areas…I also think my wearing makeup with sunblock my entire life has helped…everyone says oh it’s not enough you need a separate sunblock, which I agree is important but I still think my makeup spf helped me. I’m turning 54 yo this year and my skin is good, my hair is another day….❤

I have done botox a few times.(by a plastic surgeon and once at a med spa) I really sort of hate when i can't move my face. I'd love to try red light therapy. I grew up in Fl and live here today so I suppose I should make the investment. Great video. TY

This is such an informative video, thank you! I am in the process of shopping for a LED mask for anti-aging purposes. May I know your opinion about the Omnilux mask vs the Qure mask? Thanks a lot!

I use red light. It doesn’t help on its own. Or fir that matter botox on its own. Together it does work very well. Plus, I am 65, I use my facial steamer to help absorb serums and at home micro-needling. Since I have been using the at home micro needling along with Tri polar RF my face looks amazing. Lets face it ladies we didn’t have all this stuff when we were young. The best thing I ever did was stay out of the sun on my face. .

Incredible video, thank you! I have a red light device I've used consistently for about 7 months daily and notice a difference. One question I do have is (and I've seen differing answers), is it best to use the red light mask on clean, dry skin (without skin care products) or AFTEr you've applied your skincare?

Great video as always! ❤ I’ve bought Omnilux led mask but I’ve to admit it’s a struggle using it for me… I’ve sensitive, dry/dehydrated skin with mild rosacea and using the mask after only drying my face is a nightmare. Also the mask hurts my nose and tends to stick to my skin in a very uncomfortable way. I also have bit of redness after the treatment that goes away when I finish my skincare. Do you have any suggestions for me? Thanks 🙏🏻 ❤

@@caseyharrison9576 Not much proof that the brand matters. LED lights are LED lights. Might bother you if it's uncomfortable to wear though.

I've used red light for a year now and put the mask all over my body. Well worth it. Botox I feel like it's a slippery slope to fillers and other cosmetic stuff. Then you won't look the same down the line and and surgery later won't help. I think the Mini brow lift might be nice for a wedding or big one time event

I think it’s also good to use red light maybe for a couple months then the a break for a month and so on. I notice it tends to be drying to the skin so let it have time to heal - which to me would help build collagen. If you are constantly breaking things down it never has time to rebuild.

I got a wood splinter today , it went very deep inside my fingertips 😢 it was a very a sharp wood needle and as thin as hair . I’m scared . ITS STILL INSIDE 😢😢 ANY remedy guys ? Will Applying tretinoin over my finger tips help ? As it will increase cell turn over and splinter might also get out ?
