I'm at the 2023 International Harvester Red Power Roundup in Grand Island, Nebraska. In this third video, on day three of the show, I go in-depth about the Farmall tractors on display and their "family trees," talk about what the hobby means to me, and have a viewer meetup.

I love this series, Pete. I'm 81 years old this year. I can go back to when I was 13 years old. A kid from a broken family with a wonderful mother trying her best to provide for her two boys. I was in the seventh grade and a member of the future farmers of America (FFA) One summer I was shipped off to a farm in Vermont to work for the summer. Just a kid I was a bit scared but the farmer and his wife were wonderful people and made me feel at home. The thing I remember the most is the day the farmer got me up on the seat of his precious tractor, I wish I could remember what model it was, but I know it was a Farmall, and let me drive it. I loved it, even though all I did was spread cow manure it was one of the best times in my life.

I’ve been trying t build a small place to raise some chickens and pigs for my family. After we bought the b5.5 acres my oranges gave me what think is a 1974 Ford 2000 tractor to clean the land up with. Love old tractors. Grow up on my grandpa old hand crank allischalmers tractor. Even had only had brakes only. No foot brake.

I hope this message is high enough up that you will read it. :) That was so sweet when you gave that little boy a hug!! I remember when our daughter was young and got a hug from one of her "stars".....it meant the WORLD to her. Also, I'm hoping meeting the viewers during this trip will boost up your spirits and help you continue (and more importantly....ENJOY) filming your videos. Maybe this will show you just a pinch of what your audience is really like and the "evil" viewers are sooooooooo tiny!!! Thanks for taking us along Pete.

Hi Pete, thank you showin' us all the cool red power from the show but also the classics you use every day on the farm. IH made a couple different two cylinder models in Germany from the 1950s to 1960s that plant got closed down sometime in the 1990's it was in Neuss Germany some of the British build IH tractors had the Neuss german diesel engines in em. Friends of mine had a IH tractor that was made in Germany it was a late 1960s or early 70s model. They where our neighbors back when we still farmed in Switzerland. Keep ya'r awesome videos coming

Thank you Pete! I was in Springfield Ohio last year for the show first one I've been to in about 25 years and it was great. Affirm full-time drive truck part time artist a I worked last summer was going to that international show 3 hours from home. We left at 4 in the morning hit the ground at about 8:30 and stay till 5 in the afternoon then head to the 3-hour drive home stopping for evening meal so it was like 11 we got back that night I was beat but it sure was fun. 80 head of cattle on the place and crops to get harvested I don't have time to go to Nebraska so it was nice to go there with you thank you

Thank you, Pete for showing all of us this spectacular event. It brought back a lot of great memories of old Farmalls. I started out on one of those Farmall pedal tractors and then graduated to my grandfather's H and then to my uncle's brand new 806 with dual rear wheels for mowing sod grass. At his memorial service all of the farmers there remembered him buying it brand new and they all said it was the biggest tractor in the entire county when he got it!
