Nathan watched your journey with your 250 some time ago and just spent the past week watching your series on the Nano. I've just renovated a 18th century cottage and having had a 350 sps reefer running for 5 years in my previous house, will defiantly consider a nano, as you say its about keeping water and the management of that. Very inspirational watch for those new to the hobby, thanks for taking the time to share your experiences. All the best and Merry Christmas and happy new year to you and the family! Rob.

Nathan Willard I’m getting there with it. Have a total of five fish - so maxed out - 2 x Clown, 1 x Royal Grammer, 1 x Royal Blue Damsel (looks great under blue lights), 1 x Bi Colour Blenny. Have plenty of CUC including sand sifting star fish which has done a great job of cleaning the algae off the surface of my substrate and a snowball urchin. Have a peppermint shrimp as I had a small outbreak of aptasia. Have three soft corals - green torch which is doing amazing, pulsing Xenia and an alveopora. All doing well. Tried an SPS frag but got stripped the first night. Suspect nitrates at 2ppm to 5ppm may have caused that. Learnt a lot over the last 9 months. But as you so rightly say, patience is key. Need a bigger tank now - would like to progress to circa 400 litres. Maybe next year. May have to come back to you for advice !!

Absolutely amazing tank! I am looking into something like this to do a softie tank with zoas, mushrooms etc with maybe just an auto top off auto water change system. I love the fact it comes with a really decent light. The e 170 is very nice but 3 times more expensive so this tank looks like a great nano option.

Another great video mate! Going to miss your updates on this tank. I have to agree with your comments though, I was only saying to my mate the other day that the past few months (tank will be 1 year old on Jan 1st) the tank has been a doddle and apart from dosing and feeding the fish the tank has run itself and has never looked better! Easily the best tank I’ve had in terms of easy to maintain. I too was running out of space so have added another small piece of rock to allow me to add a few more but the tank is looking full and colourful now which is all I ever wanted. I also have been using the same pellets as you (on your recommendation) and also put down the health of my tank (very low nitrates and phosphate and no algae or cyano) to using only this type of food!

this is great to hear buddy, yeah theres defo something with that food

go as big as you can bud, the bigger the easier they are as more stability. 4-5 small fish is max for this size tank
