Red Sea have decided it's time to enter the Filter Roller market, something that in past few years has been growing at speed, with more and more aquarists now including one in the set-up.
We dig into the ReefMat a little more, highlighting some of its key features, what sets it apart from the competition, and just how easy it is to install and set up. If you are thinking about purchasing a ReefMat, then this video is for you!

I installed a 500 on my reefer 350 a few days ago and its using 290 cm a day did I do something wrong?

Can you pump thru the reef mat or does it need to be gravity from your tank overflow down pipe?

You can return/feed the water however you want to, but the downpipe ensures that all of the flow entering the sump will be forced to pass through the filter roll

I keep hearing that the 500 will work on my Trigger systems Sapphire 26, but my dimensions are 8.25 x 10. Is the lower part part suitable for my sump?

Does this replace the skimmer? Or in addition to ?

Roller Mat units are often run alongside a skimmer, however they will of course remove dirt and detritus from the water column prior to the water entering the sump chamber that your skimmer would traditionally be sat in.

The best feature is the 200 micron fleece, and not the 50 micron that others use.
