Here are some red wines to buy if you're starting to get into dry red wines. I'm sharing with you wines that I have been drinking this year that I think are approachable and tasty. Some were even great as tailgate wines. I'll also share with you my new wine cooler product the @huskicooler . A perfect Christmas present for your family and friends.

Winter season is when I convince people they like Italian red wine by buying lots of GD Vajra Clare JC.

For those interested in Beaujolais, Louis Jadot Beaujolais Villages is a widely distributed and affordable wine! Great QPR at around $14, pairs well with holiday dishes, and great for parties because of how approachable it is.

I wholeheartedly concur with your cuvée tardive recommendation. I served it at my families Thanksgiving dinner and it was gulped down. Good price, too.

When I see the term "approachable" in the context of wine, I think relatively inexpensive, ready to drink without much aging (also making it less likely to be very expensive), and not too complicated to understand/process. Thus, I find this can work for any wine style including bigger reds. Holy smokes on the Austin Hope Reserve! For under $145, I got 3 premium Bordeaux blends from Oakville, Red Mountain, and St. Estephe. So far, I opened the one from Oakville and absolutely love it! While price-wise not the most approachable, it is really enjoyable to sip (and pair with food) right now!😄😋😎🍷🍷🍷

Agree on that Pinot from Oregon! Good stuff. I’d love to see a video about Willamette Valley wines!

Côtes du Rhône is the easy answer, at least one without too much syrah in the blend. A lot of direct fruit, easy. After that I think Barbera d'alba or asti probably.
