The wedge sole is crap for snow and ice as well. You would need some sort of lug/commando sole for actual winter conditions.

hi thanks for your video i really agree with you on the read i don’t care for it either the iron ranger originally came with a flat nigele cork. and the white soles you talk about traction tread wedge sole.

Look up the montagna vibram sole. They'll look pretty cool too and functional.

Vibram needs to make the 430 with the sbr rubber compound.Nitril rubber is too hard for the winter .My Chinese Bootmaker has fake 430s made from Eva and those are pretty good.

You can send those in and they'll come back like new. Except for the soles, I agree, they look good, last well, but are shit otherwise.
