I ended up purchasing two sets of overdrive/ underdrive gears & installed underdrive gears in both front & rear portals to help lower the gear ratio being the wheel speed is to fast out of the box. It will help the slow crawl performance until crawler gears are available for the transmission to correct the problem.

Sounds like a good idea. I definitely find it more manageable than the stock trx4m slow speed control which is good. Shame it wasn't a little slower out the box, as its definitely more a rock crawler than trail rig. 👍

I suggest you swap out the stock plastic gears for metal ones it will add a bit more center weight also recommend buying the aluminum shock covers that will also add a tad bit more weight and some larger 64 mm / 24 mm tires the swamp claws work great on this little rig if you add the yellow silicone inserts it will also add more weight on top of the brass rings in your wheels this rig is already loaded with ball bearings and metal gearing so no worries there all that is plastic is the trans gears and drive shafts so not much to upgrade besides the trans gears and wheels and more brass if you so may desire mate 🤟

I've done all the brass upgrades and just installed the overdrive and underdrive gears along with the furitek starter brushless kit and its nearly unstoppable!
