For some obvious reasons, we re-designed the PS5 DualSense controller front shell and called it LUNA.
You don't need the face trim plate on LUNA, so when we draw patterns on it, the images will have more space to show.
The shell is compatible with BDM010, BDM020, and BDM030 version PS5 controllers.
BTW, the reason we call it LUNA is, it's elegant.

Lol bit late here, but I modified a few ps5 controllers and I ordered the "origins of chaos" shell for another build. I obviously need to pay more attention when ordering parts because it was this style shell and I didn't even realize it. When I recieved it I was honestly confused and thought I ordered a shell for a different controller, but at the same time it looked like a ps5 controller shell. Hence why I looked up this video. Just finished it with a rise 4 back buttons kit and it turned out amazing! Another benefit of removing the trim piece is you don't have to buy another one to match the theme of the build if the black one doesn't go with it. May not seem like a big deal but they charge like 16 bucks for them, and when you want to do a completely custom build all the little "detail" parts like that add up ridiculously quickly. I'm honestly a huge fan and kinda wish I knew these were a thing when I did my other controllers!

So much more difficult than I thought 😩 I should have just gotten a skin for the front and replaced everything else again. The amount of glue used on that touchpad was insane! I was so scared to break it and it was not loosening at all after several minutes with a blow dryer on it. I was so scared to break it by I finally went in with an x-acto blade and a guitar pick type tool and slowly worked it loose

Honestly I don't think it's that delicate, I just finished mine and pretty much yanked it off but everything seems to be working fine

Thank you bro! For the matte finish of the PS5 controller front shell, we found the soft touch or matte finish on the pattern series of it is fade or scratch easily, that's why we use the glossy. We are working on a new production method, trying to solve this problem.

@@nolifey It's not going smoothly frankly. Most soft-touch surface consumer electronics have the same problem except for deep colors like black or grey. 😥

Because it's PS shape, we can't do the PS buttons like the original so we have to make something we can do

The Galactic Purple back buttons kit match the original purple of PS5 controller, but the color may be slightly different because we notice even the original purple PS5 controller have color difference in different batch.

Your battery connection may got some issue, reopen it and reconnect the battery cable

your touchpad cable may loose, check both ends of the connections

Thank you! You still have to pry the shell off but if you do it careful enough, the clips will safe. Stuff for Edge will begin to release in May, please stay tuned!

I used a cheap hair dryer, like $10. All you need is a thing that makes the glue melt.
