Personally, I think Bee in the show fits for the series, she's cute, active, and flowy but not hiding what she's trying to get from the sinners. Plus all the design color changes based on location light/mood show a level of detail/care for the character that had to take so much time and consideration to create. The reference her blue look leans towards is a nice nod to those that have know Viv and her work for so long now while not alienating those that don't see the reference. Your eyes can follow her face easily even with all the color because of how dark her eye lines are compared to the rest of her body. She works in that account as both a non-moving and moving design, but her mane definitely needs that movement to show it's best. I enjoy seeing Lovesart's redesigns due to how much thought and detail they seem to put into them. The hoverfly thing being apart of that along with other details. But otherwise, the redesigns doing it solely out of spite or like the pony thing where it's just stealing the design for the sake of profit are really disgusting.

I have more Lord Beelzebub facts, Beelzebub as i stated was Philistine god, formerly worshipped in Ekron and later was adopted by others, Beelzebub was more based off of a bull or a ghoul in the biblical description, the Ekrons envisioned him being based off a fly during the first description thus giving him the title of lord of the flies/flyers. Beelzebub is a ghoul with bull like features, or a bull sometimes seen with or without wings that of a ghoul with wings as mentioned in the bible and mentioned again in later bible verses, in the book of satan and or the devil's bible the seven deadly sins are mentioned in the book thus it being written in latin, and also mentioned in other history scriptures and in both the old and new old testaments. Beelzebub is the ONLY deadly sin and demon lord that has a messy and confusing history and not having much information written about him, it is mentioned in both the bible and the devil's bible that before Leviathan came to be and took over envy, that Beelzebub ruled over both envy and gluttony and then later on just gluttony, as Leviathan decided to take over envy. Beelzebub did represented gluttony and envy, and now only represents gluttony, gluttony means a lot of things but isn't just the representation of food, it's the representation of desire a different form of greed over one's own desire doing everything to fill that desire, gluttony is hollowness/emptiness to fill one's desire to fill it with the void of something that brings joy, something to make them feel whole and to now feel hollow, that is what Beelzebub is! Also fun fact that people don't hardly know but Beelzebub has the ability to heal people and in the bible in one of the verses where Beelzebub was mention it stated that Jesus was accused of stealing Beelzebub's power to heal.

I’m a artist who does some redesigns and I love Helluva Boss, when I do my redesigns I do them to show my creative and not be like “your designs sucks and I can do a better job” And seeing all those redesigns of Beelzebub reminds me of two thing I hate when it comes to character designs, being stereotypical and cliche. I mean if I had to choose between a Gluttonous Bee or a cute Fox who gives sweets and sing songs about Cotton Candy, I would picked the fox. And finally it’s a fantasy show, you’re not giving people a biblical history lesson. Your video is great. Makes me wish more people listened to you because the Vivziepop hate and criticism is getting really old and it’s not fun anymore.

I genuinely LOVE Vizi's design of Beelzebub. The first time I saw it I really thought this was one of her best designs I have ever seen. And honestly I still feel that way. I think she's pretty and fits well into the show. She is doing her own thing, I admire that. This is my opinion of course. So I don't really mind or care if others "hate" her design. Because.... Why should I? 😂 Anyways.. LOVE YOU VIDS! 💗^^

It's honestly somewhat refreshing to see this video. I've been getting video after video of just people making Beelezebub into just a straight up bee and I honestly really don't like it. I love her fox features (might not be due to the fact I used to be obsessed with fennec foxes) and seeing it torn away from her just made the character feel.. bland. Like another copy pasted "She's been fixed!" when it's just a Bee with maybe the same color pallet. (or even that's been stripped away from her) I honestly can't really see why she's hated so much but that might be due to the fact I love her design. It's so flowy and fast. She's hyper and manages to catch my attention. Her party girl aesthetic is perfect for over indulgence because when your at a party your encouraged to over indulge in all the food and drinks they have so it fits perfect for the Prince of Gluttony to be party focused! anyway, I really like this video :D

before watching the episode and listening to what twitter was screeching about, i also thought bee should be redesigned (crazy that seeing so much hate for a character you start feeling like you gotta fit in with hating the design too LOL). however when i watched the ep myself, i realized her design is fine and wasnt sure why people were really angry abt it. i like bees design, it's eyecatching and fitting for her personality and quite a few of the redesigns i see kinda just strip her of that, just to make her "le bee", which imo just makes her stand out too much among her people - hellhounds. youre allowed to not like the canon design obviously, though so many people who redesigned her made me feel like liking her design was a sin- i'm really glad you talked about this! awesome vid as always!!

The Queen Bee redesigns can honestly be so lackluster anyways, especially taking the bee theme at face value. Like she only has two wings like a fly rather than four like a bee, however having the honey and bee theme going on makes that easy to look over which is what Beelzebub wants. Also, it's not like these people who are redesigning her are reclaiming anything because Vivzie and Spindlehorse literally haven't even done anything innately wrong as opposed to muffins, where reimagining and redesigning can be almost necessary to separate the art from the creator. Vivzie has done nothing to warrant this, and just because people dislike the design does not warrant redesigning as Vivzie is making a free indie show. It's not like she's got a deal with Disney where you have to watch it behind a paywall. This is her story that we get to see unfold, and it's a slap in the face to everyone working on Helluva Boss when people redesign Bee, not just Vivzie. I'll admit, when I first saw Bee I was taken aback a bit. I didn't dislike her but her design was a lot for me to take in at first. I ended up rewatching the episode a couple of times and it honestly really grew on me, I see why she looks like that. She's the princess of gluttony and she's meant to have a lot going on as to show overindulgence, like her multiple limbs and lava hair and stomach. She's vaguely insect and with a fox base to show she's deceiving people on the front of being a bee and to show her ring is likely where hellhounds and likely other furry species come from. The fox bit of her shouldn't just be thrown away like most of the redesigns are doing, as each part of her design has a meaning, like the blue to pink to the black fire in her hair as a reference to Asmodeus. Also speaking of Asmodues, his design was also really complicated, yet there weren't any "What not to do when making a character - Redesigning Asmodues!" videos. He also is wayyy more blue than the rest of the cast, even Bee, which makes him stand out yet there weren't any complaints he looked like he didn't belong. Why the double standard? Hell, even Frizzarolli is blue with a complex design, and you could even argue more so than both Bee and Ozzie, with the multicolor stripes going in different directions and the large multicolor ruffle collar with a jester one below it. Yet all of these characters fit into the Helluva Boss universe, they all look like they belong, and that's because they do. Honestly, people who redesign Bee give me a massive headache with how much they overlook things that are meticulously placed by Vivzie to show her version of hell. Edit: Grammar and misspellings

It's refreshing to hear a wholesome view being voiced in this whole debacle. Vivs design is clearly based on many inspirations, yet she combined it to a cohesively put together character still representing all aspects of her role. But even if she didn't and just drew from the basis of 'just looking cool/interesting' is for the artists involved to decide and what we got still works really well.

Wait...that's what people were upset about? One character design that, in my humble opinion, was better than most of the other characters in this show? I liked that she was a canine/bee mix, it made sense for the show's take on gluttony and how the inhabitants look like the rulers of those areas. Seriously, people were so angry about a character design that they threw a full-blown tantrum over it? And people were upset at how the character was voiced *even though it was voiced by a famous singer and she did a pretty good job all things considered?* I'm so confused by people...

i think that the whole standing out thing fits her perfectly, shes literally a party obsessed girl, why wouldnt she want to be unique and not fit in as much? not even thinking about that, when you look at her you can instantly tell that shes a helluva boss character

I enjoyed beelzabubs design! I made a small redesign based on a comment I made on rainbots video. I l had the idea that belzabub was still a animal I just designed her to be more corgi like for royalty! I also gave her more bee like features however I didn't want to make her a bee I wanted It to be a disguise! When In that big demon form her true shows she is more fly like! I never had the intention of hating belzabubs design infact I really like it! Though I did simplify her design only because I struggle to draw more complicated designs. I changed her colour pallet but only because I liked the demonic colour scheme a little better however I still love the original colour scheme. I would never harass vivzi pop! I didn't want to post my redesign because I saw vivzi pop was not comfortable with it. When drawing my belzabub I didn't have the intentions of a redesign I just really liked her design and wanted to make my own oc based on her. I didn't want to upset vivzi and I didn't realised it troubled her so much till after I made the oc and I feel horrible for possibly spreading the fire. (I'm sorry for my poor English)

I love Beelzebub in Viv’s universe, it’s unique. To me, Bee gives off “The Hungry Wolf/Fox” vibes but at the same time still has the bug elements. But I will have to admit, Bee is missing some elements. Like something simple like maybe give her more stripes. But other than that, I’d say it’s a good design in my opinion.

And the King Returns!!! With a fantastic video as well, I haven't seen much praise for Beezelbud's HB design! Quite honestly, I was also somebody who was kind of bothered by Bee's design, not because she didn't embody "gluttony"- but because she didn't stand out to me as a ruler in hell. But after seeing Viv's twitter thread, it became very obvious that Beelzebub is Viv's self indulgent character and it's completely fine. Like you said, we will probably never see Beelzebub again, they might as well go all out with her design. Viv is allowed to do whatever she wants with her show, and from the very beginning she stated that episode 8 was a love letter to the show. I still think Helluva Boss is a flawed show, but people need to understand that just like any show it won't be perfect. This is after all just a spin-off of Hazbin Hotel. I've been humbled with this video. It's refreshing to see a different perspective from what everyone on Twitter had been complaining about. Great work Isacc!! Happy to hear from you again!!

I don’t watch hellva boss because all the discourse wouldn’t be good for my mental health but thanks to rainbotts video I learned about the whole Redesign thing and I just. Kinda hated how folks ignored the lil details in the design that obviously call back to the bee thing without being 100% a bee. Like her ears to me scream bee stingers to me, and I love little details like that. I do charatcer design as a hobby and let me tell you, designing a character with animation in mind is very much a different beast. Not to mention context matters so much which i feel some of these designs don’t have. redesigning out of harrassment sucks and screams “2016 deviantart ranter makes a redesign for a oc without permission and harrassing the creator to use their redesign” Also the talk about the fans that weirdly talk about a series not being 1000% what they want hit me close to home because I have seen fans like that for things like inanimate insanity who think doing stalker behavior because the series isnt up to what they want (which is usually werid overly taking funnie lil objects seriously) and caused me to leave sites like tumblr because the stalkerish behavior was very triggering for me. I am just here to smile at the scrimblos man.

I have never liked any of the redesigns. I understand some points about her being overly complicated, but that’s it. If you’re doing a redesign, you’re supposed to take the base design and improve it. All past redesigns just make an entirely new character and disregard anything Vizzy would have put into her design. It’s so annoying seeing that and people claiming it as a “redesign”.

Finally someone who isnt being rude Her design is literally not bad. Sure it doesnt fit beelzebub... But then again it by itself it is really good. As an animator, this is animation hell but its THE POINT lmao. Shes here to be a spectacle. She's eye candy! Thats the intent! And they did wonderful! I'm sorry I redesigned my favorite characters. I was just having fun, I didn't know it would hurt the original artists. I was only trying to interpret the characters differently because I love them so much, I hope I didn't hurt them like people hurt Viv.

I do not care if you dont like a characters design, if the creator of said character comes out and outright SAYS they are upset and uncomfortable with redesigns, then STOP. it doesnt make you supirior to redesign a character even though the artist doesnt want you to. frankly, it just makes you a dick

This video is BASED I love how you actually mention how most redesigns just wouldn't be as fun animation wise. I also felt most redesigns where just being pretentious and picky and where erasing Vivzie's unique ideas. Like, people will beg for artists to take risks and try ideas, which is exactly what Viv did and they still got mad and then go ahead and do what's expected, lol.. As a learning animator I will tell you this, Beelezebub isn't easy to animate because of the lineless pattern and the hair. But neither are most of the redesigns? 9:44 I found this point from Rainbot kind of weird. The show has a lot of red because it's in hell and so the color works well. Enough said. But to point about the dark blue arms is weird cuz dark blue is a color vizie uses for a lot of characters. This includes Loona, Moxxie, Blitzo, Striker, Stolas, Asmodeus and more. So the brown actually makes her stand out more and fit in less lol.

I really loved Bee’s hair! I thought it was so cool! Though her bangs confused me a bit and it was difficult for me to tell if it was actually part of her hair or some weird headpiece. I do also think the overall design is a little too busy, like my eyes can’t decide where to look but I liked the colors! Especially the more demonic ones! Honestly Viv has a tendency to make overly complicated designs and sometimes they can look really good but they can also look pretty bad as well. But of course that’s subjective I think and I’m glad people like her design! I’ve seen so much cool fan art of this character already! It’s great!

I like bee's design and i think she fits her sin well. Because her design is literaly vizz over doing it. I mean furries, extremally colorful. Bee's design is very extra, and it fits. But I won't say that I don't like others redesigns either though, because I do.

I agree with everything in this video. People need to realise that this is VIV'S WORLD and VIV'S HELL. This is HER story, we have no right to complain on how she interprets and designs her universe unless it's offensive (homophobia, transphobia, racism, ect). People claim that her design "doesn't scream Sin of Hell" but I disagree. As SOON as I saw her I said out LOUD "she's someone special and probably powerful" and then she begins throwing magic food left and right so I was right. I think the way people are going about "redesigning" is honestly really rude and they need to think about how they're actions will make Viv and her team feel. What are your thoughts?

All I have to say thank you because I get these redesign videos on time line and I had to unfollow an artist because her takes on this issue was so rude and nonsensical I generally don't get hate for this character
