Reitanna is a hypocrite, Stellaburst isn't even a actual character of hers! she was a gift for her friend and she took her back because she didn't like the friend anymore, and I'm pretty sure there's a lot yellow ponies with blue manes and tails, and that would have been long before Reitanna was a fan of it. so she can't really say the idea is original.

Did everybody forget about BonBon/Sweetie Drops? As in one of the background ponies who was popularized in the fandom via the ship with Lyra? Because she too has a yellowish off-white coat and blue-and-pink mane, and there's likely more official ponies following a similar pallet. If any fan character could have been called the original "rip-off" it probably would have been Stella.

Differences: Sugar Star has clean fur trimmed hoof edges with fur focused on the knees and flank while Stella Burst has fluff on her hooves. Sugar Star has two solid feather colors on her wings while Stella Burst has one airbrushed green. Sugar Star has a scarf, while Stella Burst has a beauty mark as a distinguishing feature. Stella Burst has a slicked ombre dip dye mane while Sugar Star has a fluffed pixie cut with highlights on the tips in solid colors. Stella Burst's cutie mark has the popout graphic like you'd find in a powerpoint font while Sugar Star's looks like curly confetti. Eye color and eyeshadow are different for both. One is made with a base, the other is made from scratch with original artwork. You have to have a degree in being a dipshit to think these are the same character.

Oh goodness. I don’t understand why anyone would hate on your OC. Sugar Star is so stinking cute. Also a lot of pony OCs look similar. I’ve seen OCs that look like my OCs, my friends OCs, it’s just going to happen. Since the show is so pastel, you only have certain color palettes that work. Like geez, pony drama is absolutely insane. I’ve never liked pony drama when it comes to OCs. It makes no sense. It’s just characters, just fan sonas. I wish others would chill out. For real tho.

What always infuriated me about that drama was the blatant hypocrisy of the people who harassed you. Reitanna provided no proof or evidence of that accusation and yet they still went after you. They had the goal to harass you over it while being too stupid or arrogant to realise they're doing the same thing by stealing your art and tracing over it. Rei is also hypocritical considering the fact that Stella Burst was never her character to begin with. She claimed that you stole Stella and yet it turns out that she actually stole Stella from a friend of her over a falling out she herself caused. She then proceeded to kill Stella off in a brutal manner just to spite them. Also I like how Rei states that she always has proof and yet she still hasn't provided any of it to the public. Nothing to hide Rei? Why don't you just show it then instead of hiding it? I do want to point out that Reitanna didn't get away with this scot free. Her false accusations towards you and the actions of her fans would act as ammunition for the opposing side to use against her. She kept giving them ammo over and over again despite stating that she was going to ignore them. Yeah I'm sure the ignore and block act really paid off in the end.

I used to be a big fan of Reitanna but was getting worried of her mental state with the muffin series and how unhinged she sounded on comments and other posts on all her social media platforms. The more I hear of her the more I wish she would just step away from the internet and work on herself mentally. And with all the fans she has it's like she's created her own little army of people that need help too in someway or another but prefer to idolize this tipe of people. (English is not my first language so sorry for mistakes or mispoken words.)

I am not in the MLP community, but my friend is. He is a very popular ponygram user and asked me to create MLP ocs to draw with his. Of course, I love my friend, so I did! I had 4 ocs. One he gave to me as a gift, and the three others were ones I designed named Backbone/Back Bone (I thought I was very clever for that one), Moth Marauder, and Static Surges. If you couldn’t tell by the naming scheme, it was a horror themed universe with pony cults and stuff!! It was cool! Anyway, imagine my shock when I, a random person who (literally admitted) that they know NOTHING about MLP, don’t interact with the fandom, and I don’t even post my ocs anywhere (my friend briefly spotlit my ocs), that apparently I copied the concept of Moth Marauder, because get this. Another pony oc based on mothman with a black and red color pallet exists. Our ocs looked inherently different, but yeah, somehow I copied. I got death threats for MONTHS. I love this community (no I don’t) (I will never post my horror au again) (I had mane 6 redesigns too so that sucks)

Literally every time I get excited about any kind of content/fandom, I want to draw or model something for it- then immediately flash back to these horror stories. Will someone steal my work? Will some obsessive weirdo accuse me of stealing their work? Maybe I'll just get banned or harassed because I didn't have "permission" to draw a winged cat. Then I fall into this fantastic spiral of realization that no one can STOP me from drawing whatever... but it isn't worth the potential stress... but I really want to draw a cute thing? UGH People mostly grow out of this sort of thing when they leave middle school, but a) there are always more middle schoolers and b) unfortunately some people DON'T grow up. Absolute hell world, no one can enjoy anything orz

Honestly I hate looking into drama with the Internet since it's usually stupid and started with bullshizz. Your video here proved that drama starts like that because no one really understands that no idea is truly original. If something can be thought of by one person, it can be thought of by another completely separately and unrelated. A yellow pony of any type with blue hair isn't going to be brand new, a name involving sugar or sweets is going to have many variations. But if you make a character, unrelated to someone else's that you've never seen, then you made a character that is YOURS that someone also had a similar idea with making. I have an OC that is for a fandom and he's a human experiment with some chameleon abilities. There's a character in RWBY who is a chameleon faunus with pretty much the same abilities. I thought of my OC before that character showed up in the show. If I shared him outside my close friend group, I would probably get attacked by randos saying "You stole roosterteeth's original character!" Sorry for the rant, drama over ideas is extremely stupid. I love the designs you did for the stolen character and I love how you decided to take something meant to harass and irritate you into something creative and thoughtful.

I had some drama like this sometime last summer. a friend was copying a design, so I tried redesigning it the original creators though we were still “stealing” it when it didn’t even look like the other design anymore (we had to redesign it like 2-3 times to get them off our asses)

As an artist, looking at that chart, claiming your character was a rip off, I just dissected that way too much. From the fact that your character and the accusers character had complete different art, styles, different shades of color, completely different color variance for the hair (at this point, I’ve stopped saying sky blue/light blue and started calling it cyan even though I know it’s not cyan) They really were grabbing for straws there

A fan of My Little Pony named a next gen between Trixie and Prince Blueblood Moondancer, and nobody bullied them for naming a next gen after an official pony name used back in the 80's. Hell, Hasbro reuses names for ponies all the time, even in the same generation. As for the color scheme, oc's can sometimes have the same hair and body color. It's only stolen if the proof is there. Even if it wasn't, it'd be pretty obvious to the original designer if their oc is stolen without credit.

I sorta have heterochromia i still don't know what it's fully called but in both of my eyes they change color at the same time, i was born with blue eyes then they changed to hazel however at the time most people even my family started to notice my eyes would change colors. They would change to, blue, hazel, chestnut, yellow, amber, rarely red, grey, jaded green, ocean blue, and green, i think i get that from my grandpa since he has heterochromia having blue in one eye and brown in the other eye. However i still don't know what it's truly called when both eyes at the same time changed colors, kinda like a mood ring i guess?? I know it's not a mood thing cause that only lightens and darkens the main color of your eyes, not fully changing the color of it like mine seems to do, guess mine is a birth defect not sure, i felt like sharing this with everyone here! :3 Edit: Onto the main point in the video, you can't steal a characters colors or hairstyle unless you purposely went out of your way to steal someone's design and changed it to make it yours, for example heavily referencing or ripping off a character design to make the design yours. However looking side by side of starburst and sugar star both designs are not even close it's just the color palette and you can't even steal a color palette, so like wtf are they exactly saying you stole from because in the end you didn't even steal anything? The characters are different, the palette as a different hue and even then you can't steal a palette, the names it doesn't matter because last time i checked there are people with same names along with characters having same names or similar names, so like in the end you didn't even do anything wrong here. Editing this again cause of the lio part: I can pretty much tell from the senate call that lio was not believing or taking that matter seriously at all, like he mostly gets to the point in tone where he is like so done with people's bs that he just knows their full of crap, he is the type of person that needs proof of claims and get's annoyed when people don't either take the matter seriously like at all and i don't blame him lol

As a 27 year old who has been drawing since middleschool and owns waaay too many characters . . these two ocs look almost nothing alike. If I saw them in the same room I wouldn't even think they're cousins, much less the same pony. The only similarity is *ever so slightly* some colors. But otherwise, completely different. And in my unprofessional but experienced opinion, its clear who the more skilled character designer between the two of you is. And it isn't the insecure one. I worry about people who grip their ocs so tightly the squeeze extends to characters who are barely similar. I wonder if its from a place of self-importance or fear of becoming irrelevant. Maybe its just scary seeing an artist who draws with objectively more skill make a character that resembles how they wish they could draw their character. Comparison is the thief of joy, though. And in this case it totally derailed them. I don't know how I'd sleep at night holding that much resentment over something so unnecessary. Reaching for imaginary straws. As a favorite song of mine says, they can't get a grip but they can't let go. There wasn't anything to hold on to though!

If you're claiming that someone else stole your character you gotta prove the stealing part. Colors are not concrete enough and pony names are usually cutsie simple words at times. Of course, you could do research a bit for the best name if ya want, but you gotta prove the accused saw your character and how the character is a copy. Similar designs don't mean copying. The other option is called, ✨INSPRATION✨! Seriously it's probably the best answer or that you both had similar ideas as that is also an answer. Concepts, names, and definitely colors can't be copyrighted. Trademarked sure, but never copyrighted.

I have an MLP OC named after a video I saw (MLP in a nutshell) named Twinkle Sprinkle (who literally looks like a mix colored Twilight Sparkle on Pony Town).. It's really not a crime to have an OC that looks exactly like someone else's or an canon character. At the end of the day, it's just a design.. but tinker it a little bit.. idk..

Damn I thought DeviantArt art community but twitter art community even worse. When I was younger someone claim that I stolen adopt design, becuase they have black hooves, greyis blue coat and rainbow hair this pony I made was a next gen ship between Rainbow Dash X Soarin, they literally told me I stolen the design, when I colour swatch it the shades and hues were off, plus at this time I have no fricking clue what the pony adopt they were talking about becuase I have a really bad laptop with bad WiFi, so I usually download basses and colour plattes and reference images of RB and Soarin ti make this character they wouldn't stop harrsing me until I change the colours which I did beucase they didn't stop, then I block them after becuase of it, I was really upset as the person harassed me to change the colours, but few years after I redesign them again but used the original colours I previously did as i had a back up version, and still was completely diffent to the adopt they accuse me to steal. Plus I was using bing and bing wasn't that good for getting images like Base and colour plattes. The colour platte I used was like a stormy colours with a rainbow and used mangetta eyes from rainbow dash. I was 10 at the time a few months getting into mlp base edits & digital art with my ms paint mouse drawings. People in general sucks especially to young artist, or artist that had a character for many years but never coloured it or made digital art piece

bruhh when you showed both designs side by side i was flabbergasted because...BRO THEY R NOTHING ALIKE?????? LIKE WHAT THE HELL WAS REI THINKING ABT??? they are NOT the same at all. There are similarities, but absolutely not the same character. Every idea has been done before and its pretty much a staple for a few characters to look similar to one another. BUT. there is a lot of differences between the characters lmao.

I wasnt a full on Rei fan at this point and i definitely didnt exactly know about you but i remember seeing this shit or some of it mainly Rei and Kota at the very least.... But now that ive seen the way Rei truly is... I honestly regret that i ever was a Rei fan honestly there are two reasons i stopped being her fan before fully stopping last year... Those two things being the two times that she essentially got mad about something i said and basically let me have it... The first one when i barely mentioned muffins when it was still being worked on i had lowkey asked how it was coming and she got mad basically saying "it'll be out when its out it shouldn't matter how its coming along cause i dont do behind the scenes on muffins so just don't worry about it K?" I dont think that was the exact reply but i cant really go back and did it up because it was my first KZfaq account which sadly in December of 2020 got hacked all i remember is she basically yelled at me for simply in a sense checking in on her. The second time she got mad is when i asked her if she'd ever consider making a Power Snuffed form for Bunny sense she had included Bullet the squirrel. She said. "The story is complete so adding Bunny now would make no sense even if i wanted too but i dont like Bunny and never have therefore Bunny was NEVER going to be in Power Snuffed at all if you dont like it thats to bad then." Again probably not the exact reply but she got pissed that I brought Bunny up at all. If i remember right i said something along the lines of "well with your permission can i rewrite this and include Bunny and a male version of Bunny?" She said no and said that if i did and she ever saw it knowing it was without permission that I'd basically be stealing her idea and rewrite or not stealing the overall Creepypasta. To be honest now that I'm not her fan i have zero desire to rewrite Power Snuffed and insert Bunny anymore. But anyway the thing that made me finally unsubscribe is you, you showed me her true colors and with what i believe in and value i cant be a fan of someone like her anymore so thank you for opening my eyes
