Before child labor laws were enforced, I was selling Avon and Mary Kay at Traders Village from age 7-17. This was a top seller for us. My fragrance journey started at age 7.

Thanks for this review, this actually was my 1st fragrance as a kid, back then at least the non-spray version had a different shape bottle.

I love Wild Country, as well as Avon's Mesmerize for Men. They're not fancy, but they smell pleasant, and won't break the bank. Also, I kind of like the bull logo on the Wild Country; simplistic yet unique.

The quality does not smell like the version my father would wear back when I was a kid (Late 70s & Early 80s) any longer but still has the same vibe to it... Not something that I would ever wear or own but even smelling the current version conjures found childhood memories... Great job as always Steven...

Wild Country, despite being an Aromatic Fougere, actually smells like the Spicy Oriental classic Old Spice. It competes with Paul Sebastian Fine Cologne in being the closest fuller, stronger, richer Old Spice. This and Paul Sebastian Fine Cologne both have the lavender. I still think I found the stronger Old Spice analogue in Paul Sebastian Fine Cologne, but I think Wild Country is the runner up. Paul Sebastian Fine Cologne is often compared to CK Obsession for Men, with Obsession having even a thicker, deeper Oriental base. The cinnamon has a lot to do with tying them together, althoughWild Country doesn't have cinnamon listed as a note. But the Paul Sebastian and Wild Country are closer to classic Old Spice in my opinion.

just ordered the set def cheap but I like it with the body wash and after shave conditioner while I'll spray the cologne on my body then put my shirt on. Brut though is by far 10x better smelling to me. Oh my ultimate favorite is Jovan white musk for men

My first cologne. Wore it as a weekend beater for 35 years. Eventually the reformulations killed it. Still looking for that original smell. I plan to look into the two you mentioned.

This newer version smells alot like Pinaud Clubman, that is why it smells like a barber shop. Pinaud is the official barbershop fragrance, actualy my favorite. And that is why it smells old school. Your grampa wore it. The older version was a bit more perfumey with more of a woodsy citrus note

Omg my mom used to buy this for me when i was in 6th grade, it use to be so so good, it definitely is no where as strong as it used to, i would smell it all day long, now lasts like 30 minutes

I have Guerlain for men. People say that this cologne has a barbershop scent, and what other colognes that are released by avon that has a barbershop scent, longevity, and projection.
