@@shanebrohm7786 Were you watching the game? Marner was playing so casually that it took a gentle push to knock him off the puck the whole f'ing game! Just because he had that one good pass, which is expected of someone getting paid $11M, may I remind you, doesn't excuse his lacklustre game. Him choking under pressure during the playoffs is getting old, and Keefe is too clueless and ignorant to put any accountability on his players (i.e., Leafs' D going out of position for any goals and not missing a single shift).

He was all over the ice last night and I think if you ask anyone with half a brain they’d tell you that was marners best game this playoffs. Matthews like was invisible tonight and Tavares line stepped up

Hopefully Treliving is seeing the value of these players individually. Domi is doing what Marner did w Mathews, plus more. Bertuzzi is Fiesty, but needs be more disaplined. Marner has had 5-6 years w Mathews with no results in the playoffs. Signing Domi and Bert to 2 yrs would still leave enough for a defender. Let Marner walk. There No Way he deserves a raise. Imagine the chemistry Domi and Bert would have with another year or two w Mathews

1. Idc how they play unless they win, I’m sure that if we lose this round and we “play good playoff hockey” we will be remembered as a better team last year because we actually won a round. In all reality we got outplayed last year in the first round too. 2. The crowd was very loud until they went 0-3 in the powerplay and got scored against first. They were all nervous, rightfully so after all these years of disappointment in the playoffs especially at scotiabank

I think the rest of the league has figured out the big hole of the Leafs' defensive system. Make the defensemen chase them and take advantage of the forwards forced to defend the net. Almost all the goals against the Leafs have that in common where a defenceman or two go out of position, and the likes of JT, Matthews, Marner, Bertuzzi and Kampf are left behind to defend the net. It was a season-long anomaly that I'd hoped would be fixed before the playoffs, but Keefe is too clueless to see the fault in his system. Oh, and the fact that Marner will always play the soft game will never change. If I were Tre, I'd point that fact out during the contract negotiations and tell him that he had been overpaid for the past six years, so here's the money we were thinking, and if you don't like it, ask for a trade and we'll find you a team that can pay you what you think you're worth.

The game I seen was the Laffs being their usual fumbling, messy passes, mishandled pucks, giveaways...especially Marner who does the same thing every playoffs where he looks like a teenager scared to make a move. Totally ineffectual.

so because we got 5 PPs the blatent missed calls are not an issue? the calls that DIRECTLY led to goals against are fine because 5 PPs, and its just fans complaining? derppppp. let me ask you honestly...what was the difference between the takedown of matthews behind the net and what JT did???? sorry but the refs are a huge issue for this league in general, not just for the leafs. that being said we beat ourselves with the special teams, its been 29th in the league for like 3 months with or without nylander or marner etc, and keefe has done literally NOTHING to adjust it and hasnt since he started coaching the leafs, hes just ride or die with the same players even if we are losing games because of it. special teams and goaltending are the big difference makers in the playoffs and we consistently find ourselves on the short end of both every year.

Hot take: Leafs will be eliminated before Nylander comes back. Marner and Reilly need to be benched, or at the very least banned from the PP. Coach makes zero proper adjustments, needs to be fired before the next game. Not joking.

I'm old enough to remember the atmosphere at the Maple Leafs Garden in the 90s and the ACC when they first moved. The fans back then were rowdy and engaged. So, to say that the "Leafs fans have been ghosts" is stretching the facts.
