The “don’t waste anyone’s time” is a huge one.. I’ve clicked off of countless videos that are filled with endless b-roll garbage. I can think of one where a KZfaqr was reviewing a camera… but I literal had to search through 20 minutes of adventury b-roll to find 30 seconds where they gave their actual thoughts. Such a waste of time. I’ve always loved your straight to the point attitude Nolan! Great video

Found your channel a few years back because I was researching for the G85. I purchased the G85 and have enjoyed using the camera and what I have been able to achieve with it. Thank you for all the information you provide through your channel. I value your opinion on gear and business-related topics you cover. Keep up the great work!

Randomly found your channel today and truly impressed . Congrats! I’m super hesitant and skeptical of so many videos and channels and this was a pleasant discovery. I especially love the honesty that you convey and articulate. You’re a rare breed . Haha I love how you addressed so many of our shower thoughts. Keep doing what you’re doing. You’re doing it well.

It's hard to find in-depth and good quality content for Panasonic cameras out there, but yours really hits the mark. Appreciate your work!

I want to thank you for a few things, and most of them have to do with your creating a video that’s not SHORT, HYPERACTIVE and, well…like MOST videos on KZfaq. Let me explain: I’ve been trying to “become a KZfaqr” for the past couple of years, and this has involved watching videos of other KZfaqrs saying that the videos I make have to be SHORT, EXCITING…and well…hyperactive. Trying to think that way has worn me down, and I don’t like it. Then, I find your channel, and especially this video. I like it. I’m tired of the other hype out there, and I’m ready to stop thinking my videos have to be like everybody else’s: fast cuts, fast music…hype, hype, hype. So, thank you for making a REAL-feeling video, and one that isn’t FAKE. You already know about how I call myself a “Fake Filmmaker” so I won’t elaborate here, but keep up the good work, and thank you for “keeping it real” (send me an email, and maybe we can talk more about “real vs. fake” sometime)…

Thank you for sharing these thoughts. I know exactly how you feel and can relate so much. You’re on the right path - don’t let anyone make you think you need to change who you are to make great videos.

Thanks for being true to KZfaq. It's not always about viral. BTW would you recommend selling a G9/all lenses to pick up a used s5 with the drop in price?

Great Video! Congrats on the Milly! Can you do a “Is there any reason to even buy an S5 m1 anymore?” I had the G85 and added the XS10 because of your guidance, and I love the XS10, but recently upgraded to the G9 from the 85, but am still average-whelmed by it…I keep thinking that the GX85 is still as good as the 85 and the 9 that I’ve jumped to since. I’m desperately trying to not go the Sony-of-all-trades route…So the S5 seems natural to move toward, but does it have the same stability as the G series?

It’s worth looking at the GH6 - the cost FF lenses are prohibitive - MFT isn’t dead - I’m in the same boat - sell all my MFT and buy a S5ii - after looking at specs on the GH6 I’ve decided sticking with the MFT format for video is a more cost effective move and there is likely to be firmware updates including improvements to AF and this thing has 7.5 stops of ibis as well as a dual native ISO (even though they don’t say it has)

I would recommend putting all your eggs (Easter pun intended) in the S5ii basket. For me, it checks all the boxes including really great stabilization (noticeably better then the S5i)

LoL the amount of youtubers I dnt watch anymore because of this: I am making coffee and using FF because bokeh is cinematic ! I hope people saw how when fx30 was out, suddenly it was not an issue to be using crop sensors and an even worst mft crop in 4k120 🤣 suddenly everything was fine when using these formats haha!

Hahaha same. Once Sony does it everyone realizes it’s “normal” 😂 and then bring on all the thumbnails of shocked faces with “is APSC ACTUALLY relevant anymore!?!?”
