Hello! I was the TV sound recordist for this shoot. We thought the band were bringing an engineer to set up the PA but I had to do it whilst sorting a mix to the cameras. It was an ace day. Mark referred to me as the fisherman because I had a cable knit jumper on. “Can that fisherman turn the vocal up” etc. They were my heroes and I was just starting out. Mark arrived two hours late with a carrier bag of Holsten Pils. He was told he couldn’t smoke. He agreed, saying “yeah okay” to the studio guy and carried on smoking. I think this is a great Fall line up. There were several interviews shot for this too but I don’t think the show was ever made because the studio went into administration. I’d love to see the rest of the footage. I remember they rehearsed several songs. Proper art in an artless world!
