This probably that's place around the time of WW 1, which would be around 1914, and WW2 happened in 1939, so 25 years in the different, but ye WW2 technology would probably make them Obsolete

The Titans are powerful, but even the Nine can't match the versatility of a world that's constantly innovating and producing anti-Titan/anti-vehicle weapons. Without the power of the Founder, the Nine's powers are mostly a fixed quantity- a quantity vastly outnumbered by high quality steel and war engineers clever enough to use it. The Warriors may have won the battle, but the cracks it left in Reiner's armor show the rest of the world the cracks in Marley's armor.
