If it was a campaign donation, the money would have to come from DJT personally or it exceeds donation limits by a Corp, trust or LLC. If it had to go to DJT personally first before it could go out, there are significant taxes that would be owed in transferring it to the individual taxpayer. Even if it’s a pass through entity, the expensing it messes up the capital basis or any carry forward losses. It’s probably in the neighborhood of 75k-200k in federal taxes owed that just got obscured. NYS also got obscured.
