Let your children understand and choose their religion. Show them the ways, but do not force them, especially since you yourself are human and will fall short. Show them this. Show them that you get back up and go back into your faith. It'll build a stronger relationship with their faith and parents. Too many times have I seen kids leave their faith because of their surroundings and the hypocrisy of others.

Am I the only one confused as to how this man can be so hypocritical? Blaming his wife, saying she is the reason their daughter is a liar? Or even the fact that he is dating a white American woman who likely doesn't share the same values. Not only that, but how did this woman fall for someone who is so misogynistic? I loved the family of her father's friend. Their son is likely an amazing kid.

Im a Muslim, we wear hijab too, but our parents didnt control us, my mom just reminding us what good wearing a hijab affect us but not controling so eventually when u get to college i cant leave house without it, but sometimes i still go out not wearing it but i always feel like theres something missing in me.

It’s not about wearing it, it’s about radicalising it and i’ll be honest there are woman who are brainwashed by their religion by saying it’s god who orders this and bla bla, apart from that here in india if a hijabi or a burkha girl talks to a non Muslim people who come and surround them

This was a good movie.. I'm glad Hala was able to fulfill her dreams but I thought the father would support her in the end and not the mother. Turns out he was nothing but a hypocrite!! Saying how hala brings "shame" to the family when he's the one with a whole secret family cheating and lying to his own wife.

That's such bullshit and you know it , I have had many muslim friends as i lived in a country with a significant muslim population and not once i met a person who chose to wear hijab out of their wishes, but yes if you have been brainwashed enough you start to defend the very restrictions placed on you in the name o culture, child marriages also used to be part of culture, does it mean they should be allowed? The fact that you wanna wear hijab in western countries and actively try to convert them but have very little tolerance for other faiths in arab and other muslim majority nations like pakistan

Hijab was never a culture and tradition of Indian subcontinent it is purely religious followed by muslims..it may be tradition due to harsh weather and sand but not in pak, India Bangladesh, nepal srilanka bhutan etc

According to this movie they got the hair colouring bit wrong. It's not forbidden for muslim girl's to dye they hair as I recently did my Research on Islam and in Islam women/men both are advised to dye they hair by the last messenger prophet muhamed peace be upon him.

By the way Arrange Marriage in Islam is Forbidden too. Also I have to correct you today in western wourld you can purchuse Halal Burgers, it's not nessery that she Choses to eat a forbidden meat. Halal/koshar meat is Purched every where in the us.

I read that 90% of Islamic women have had genital mutilation done to them. That is horrific abuse. Same as letting kids get sexual surgeries (trans etc). Abuse is not freedom.
