So on this model sight there is no windage knob with serrations to move it back and forth. It looks like it simply slides left/right by pushing it, and the tight fit (friction) is enough to keep the sight in place when set, correct? I'm looking for a rear sight for my Rock Island Aresnal 1903 (year 1909) but unsure which version of these sights I need.

This was done with stop-animation. There is a serrated windage knob on the bolt-handle side of the rifle just before the upper handguard. My hand was just not in the pictures. Friction, by years of dust accumulation, does help the base to stay in place when the knob is turned. Same can be said with friction helping to hold the leaf on the latter stay in place too. Ha.
