Thank you, Thank you. I will have to watch this 3-4 times so much info and you go pretty fast. What a history, just wish I was around after WW1 when the nation was into service rifle shooting. How far has the corrupt politicians taken us from the principles this country was founded on. Men was real men, unlike today. The 03 and the 03a3 is my favorite rifle and always looking for another to add to my collection. Thanks again

Yes Sir, fantastic presentation on these great weapons of war and peace times. I own a competition match grade M1A which was used by my friends grandfather in the NRA national rifle shooting competitions from the 60s into the 70s. The gun still to this day will punch a 1" group @ 100yrds! And sits next to its predecessor the M1-Garand in the safe. There's something about shooting a 30-06 that is something you will usually never forget your first time of doing it. Thanks for putting together this presentation on something that I hold near and dear to my heart.

Cool, a stock 1903 was my first rifle and a good one at that. I have fired it out to 800 yds and it did fine. I have shot many matches with it and hunted with it. They are good true Rifleman rifles.

I am jealous that you have taken your '03 out to 800yrds. In this area of the Texas Hill Country we have open areas that are maybe 200 yards, at the most. These are usually fields. I have taken this weapon out to 500yrds. at a private range and was really pleased with its accuracy!

@@WeaponsMunitions that's pretty cool too. That particular time I was invited to a sniper match, the guys were mostly shooting 338/50bmg. I had Pa's 03, and did well. Shot a 25 lb propane tank that was mostly emptied at about 750 with a tracer round one shot and it started burning. Very surprised by that. She's been to Camp Perry, shot a bunch of vintage matches. Won medals with it. Would shoot 600 yds 4 gun matches with it and cast bullet informal match. It's a magical rifle that shoots everything to point of aim and the sights track true to range/distance. Rare in the wild. I love this rifle. Made in 1929, rebuilt in 1938 and butter smooth. Pa got it long ago thru the DCM, and we're still using it. Gently, lovingly. Along with it's stable mates the 03A3. I love the 30/06, it's my favorite caliber. I love the M1 Garand, M14 too. They have soul like a living thing almost. Finding places to shoot at distances is challenging, but worth the effort. It blows millennial minds that no scopes needed for long range shooting. Just decent eyeballs and skill, real skill. I grew up in a wilderness area, and good gun skills are respected there. Michigan's upper peninsula near Sylvania wilderness. Anyway, the 1903 is as good as it gets, and the 30/06 is a hard core combat/hunting/survival round. God bless, and keep your powder dry.

Yeah man I have an 03 A3 and it works well sporterized but that’s how I got it . Someone must have done it in the 70 s or 80 s .

Excellent. I've never been disappointed with any of the '03 variants and sporterized rifles...even the National Ordnance 03A3 did pretty well.
