Oddly I find this one to be a bit creepier than the original, because while the other one was more subdued, this one wears its upbeat nature on its sleeve, and that’s more unnerving cuz it comes off as slightly psychotic

Maskaught is born from a fursuit. From what I can tell, those things tend to have that are meant to "follow" you, and Maskaught's eyes seemingly aiming towards the camera matches that perfectly.
