this is the recording of a remote math class I held for programming students at futuregames.se/, a game dev school in Stockholm, Sweden! this is part of two of two, the first one was unfortunately lost due to a broken recording, but, hopefully this might be useful nonetheless!
this was publicly streamed on twitch, so during breaks I also talked to twitch chat, but mostly focused on the students!

I like her videos very much. I used to program simple drawings back then in 1985 with Logo on an Apple II and with Basic on a Commodore 16.

Really cool video, i've really learn a lot from you, thank you for the information. (Sorry for my english, i'm not a native speaker) Also, i would really appreciate if you could help me with a problem that i have. I am really struggling with rotating an object in unity, this is the scenario: Top down perspective, my object needs to rotate on its Y axis, the camera doesnt rotate and the player's controls are as follow: -press Left key, the object moves left and rotates towards left. -press Up key, the object moves Up and rotates forward. -press Right key, the object moves Right and rotates towards right. -press Down key, the object moves Down and rotates downward. I'm trying to use atan2 but the angle returned by this function its not like a standar math angle its not clockwise and it doesnt go above 180 degrees. I've tried using Vector3.Angle to calculate the angle between two vectors, but again i dont really know why but the max value for an angle returned by this function its 180 degrees so i dont know if i should just not use unity functions and just do the math on my own, but im guessing that is not the idea, so if somebody has some material on this, maybe a tutorial i would really aprecciate it. Please i really i want to understand fully atan2 :( Regards.

It was very useful, but I need to do that shit without the build in Mathf, Physics and so on classes😭

for what reason? unity is already so high level i doubt you get any performance benefit from reconstructing those classes from scratch with only the functions you need?

How useful could be a more than 7 hrs long video with a lot of noisy content due to online stream recording without a play list? You need to chop it and delete unnecessary parts to be useful. Otherwise I can read math from Wikipedia. Your 25 minutes video about Bezier curves is a gem, its like a 3B1B classic, but this one is useless. I know how to draw a circle with sin() and cos() so I want to skip it, but each time I skip I doubt if I missed something? I don't even know what is the content, the only information I have 7 hours video about game math. Useless.
