I'm in the eye of the change. I've been verbally abused off and on for 19 years, I'm at a hotel room because I don't want to go home. He's not even home and I don't want to be there. Bad memories every time I turn my head. Searching for an apartment, very scarce but I'll continue to fight for the change!!!! I really want the change!!!! All alone with no family! Pray for me 😔🙏

A situation happened recently with a family member, I let a broken person get to me . I cut all ties with my family because I’ve helped at least one realize who they are and basically acted as if they didn’t know what I was talking about, if their not helping me “over floweth” my cup then I don’t need them , their just some energy vampires , even if they are family.

I lived like that for many years with an abusive husband. When I left, I left everything, a good job, friends and my home. Plus it caused financial hardship. But I made it and my life is so much better. I am 65 and I am finally happy.

The real problem is people don't know they have toxic friends or family because that is just what they know! that's all they know. It takes a person that wants to change to figure out they are in toxic relationships. I stopped hanging out with a group of friends and my life got better! i started hanging out with them again and my life started getting worse, I looked around and started looking at peoples actions and really listening to what they say. When people say snooty comments once in a while, they don't like you and they talk behind your back. when i did something positive they will say you are not better then us! I start laughing because i know i have to cut them out of my life. Life is Great if you want it to be great

I've just recently left a toxic abusive relationship and I definitely needed to hear this today.

I listened to this while working out last night and today went through and blocked and deleted the people that have been causing me so much heartache and drama. I allowed myself to be free of all of that for the first time in over a year.

But when you go into things with those expectations we are setting ourselves up to be hurt, let down, to cause us to have trust issues and we tend to take those same problems into every type of relationship we get in because you haven’t moved on and forgave yourself for having a big heart. We have to love ourselves first to know how to love another individual but to also know what you will not accept. It’s not that we may have low self esteem or are insecure it’s just that we love love and we love hard. So having a big heart sometimes can be a gift and a curse all at the same time. But know yourself and love yourself to avoid allowing anything and anyone whose toxic in your life. Don’t be afraid to remove toxicity out of your lives, people will try to make you feel guilty for choosing you but take your life back! Hug yourselves❤️love you rehab family🤗🤗🤗

Amén! I'm completely in guard mode and I WILL create change. My health was affected severely from not protecting my myself and my heart, and I did lose myself. So I am sitting beside the rock I was buried under now and I will become stronger and I will get back on my feet and I will climb so high that the rock won't even be visible anymore. BADASS here I come! And I am so thankful for you doing the things you do to remind us that we do have a choice every day. We can choose to get out of bed ... even to just sit in a chair. Sometimes the smallest things can be huge successes. The next day we can open the shades and feel the sunshine. It takes effort but it will be worth it. And when we rebuild ourselves, we will learn how to make different choices and we WILL find happiness and it will find us. Merry Christmas everybody.
