That's works because the paint on the car has another thick coating of some kind of wax. And when you spray paint onto it, it doesn't make contact with the car paint. That's why the solvent works only on the red paint, and doesn't interact with the car's one

Rubbing compound and then a polish. You can do it and let it dry, keep if for days or years if you want and still get it off easily in ten minutes or less. Do it with a solvent based paint and a cured clear coat and it will still be able to be compounded and buffed to a shine. Even if it digs in a little you can always wetsand with 1000 grit then 2000 grit then 3000 grit and get the paint off and then compound and wax it and then it will be good as new and much better than before becaus your cars exterior is dirty and dull. I lived in a condo where a girl that was a neighbor had an ex that vandalized her Porsche Macon Turbo. He spray painted all over it and slashed 2 tires and ripped the fuel door open and poured a bunch of random stuff down the gas filler neck and put candy in it too. Long story short she was absolutely gorgeous and I fell hard and I fixed all of it for her for free but i took her wheels off and brought them to a tire shop and she paid for two new Continental tires. I ended up dating her for 6 months until i moved and at the same time she ended up finishing school and moved back home to New York with her parents. I still think about her and talk to her every now and then. Anyway. Yeah. Spray paint is easy to get off. Dropping a fuel tank and filler neck of a Macon Turbo and cleaning it is a 6 hour job and is a real pain in the ass to do in a parking lot with a set of sockets, wrench set, a few pairs of pliers, 2 screw drivers, and a hammer. 😊

The guy probably used a can of brakleen or any sort of brake cleaner since it's mostly just acitone in a spray can. It's the same stuff that's put in nailpolish remover cause it's a very strong paint remover. But be very carefull if you decide to try it at home because it is VERY strong and could eat through clear coat if not wiped off as soon as it's put on and god forbid you have a car that has the paint mixed with the clear coat like most foxbody mustangs then you would just have a nasty light patch in your paint job.

“I Don’t know if I recommend it” I wouldn’t recommend painting your car with spray paint but I definitely recommend finding any kind of solution in case someone did that accidentally to your car and you don’t want to spend a lot of money to get that fixed

Well what you are seeing here is this use of a body shop solvent that not only eats the unprotected spray paint but also easts your normal clear coat that protects your cars paint as well

The main thing I learned from this is that you can use a larger spray radius with WD-40 if you flip the tube down.

Xylene will take spray paint off without disturbing the paint underneath if it hasn’t been too many days. Once spray paint cures, wet sanding and fixing the clear coat is the only thing I know of. One reason to clean with wd 40 is that it doesn’t f up paint that easily…

toulene and acetone will remove fresh (up to 2 days) light coats of spray paint without damaging the paint underneath if you do it quick and gentle

They used acetone spray. You don't have to use a spray, just pour some acetone or an acetone based nail polish remover (almost every remover is acetone based) and wipe it

The liquid used to clean it in the tiktok was brakecleaner. It completely destroys paint and glue. It will however possibly damage your paintjob

You can use brake cleaner but you have to polish that spot right after so it don't damage the clear coat

Car polish works very well and does not damage the clear coat and leaves a shiny finish I have been using Miraplate for years now.

Simple science behind this is there is a solvent for that particular ink (or dye) and when you spray it, It will make solution which is liquid and you can remove it easily. thing he did wrong is after spraying that liquid, you have to wipe with towel before solvent ( spray) evaporated

My dad owns a exhaust shop and sometimes we have to paint over the welds with spray paint and the paint gets everywhere on the lift we usually use brake cleaner to clean it up comes off fairly easy that way.

You’d probably find out hours later if your car was vandalized which means the paint would’ve dried rendering this useless unless it works on dry paint too

The pink paint is a Primer. It has very strong adhesion

WD stands for Water Displacement and spray paint is a water based thing so it obviously works
