Sometimes this game is broken.. in one play through the pope was in debt, no allies and 2k troops.. and magically pulled 20k out of thin air and having 1000 in gold in the bank.

This is definitely one of my favorite campaigns. Each time I play this Burgundy and Aquitaine split off from West Francia and it leaves you with vast swaths of weak kingdoms to terrorize and conquer.

I am aware of the spikes in soundtrack with the less forgiving tunes, it will be addressed in future videos, this was my first time with a new recording software.

In my game I first did a Varangian adventure against Italy to take Corsica. Then I took Sardinia and formed the kingdom. Then I focused on development and playing tall for a few years. Then I secured the Mediterranean, allied with Sweden and took Italy, cleaned up the borders. Dismantled the papacy and invaded Germany. Not quite sure where to take the play through now. I formed a Viking-Roman empire spanning from Sicily to Scandinavia. Might take England.

When you declare invade kingdom wars, you take everything you occupy, you could've weakened them as you did, and then conguer at least roamagna, if not all of it, for gold's sake, enough to form title, you could go extra ambitious amd form the entire empire, but that would be too much of am aggressive expansion
