Hey gang today I show you the way I remove a watch bracelet, and the tools I use. It can be a tough task for sure. But take your time, and use tape on your watch to minimize scratches until you get use to this process.
Thanks for Watching!

Excellent method! Removing the spring bar from the clasp allowed me to put the watch face down on a soft surface, which made it much easier to keep the watch stationary while disengaging both spring bars to remove the bracelet. Thanks for sharing the tip!

That little trick of putting slight pressure on the end link totally made the difference. I was able to get a bracelet off that I've been trying to do for the past week. Thank you for the great hint. Yes, THANKS!, for this calm -- and calming! -- tutorial. It's so good, and encouraging, to see you succeed with the removal in just one "take". Good for our mental health and confidence... . Granted, you bring considerable expertise to the task, and make it look easy. Thank you for sharing this. I'm removing -- trying to remove! -- the bracelet from a new watch, to swap-on a leather strap instead, which I find more comfortable. The tool I have is not the best, and I've had to modify it (narrow it by filing) to fit the opening in the bracelet to get a grip on the spring-bar ridge-rings (or whatever to call them). Here goes! (after watching your video again... ). Kudos!

Great video, thanks. I bought a replacement rubber strap for my Invicta pro diver 26970 and tried to remove the steel band with the spring bar tool supplied with the rubber strap. In spite of this helpful video, I found it immensely difficult and after two hours threw in the towel. I'm not usually this cack-handed, so I was wondering, do you know of any special probs with this particular watch? I might give it one more try and if it fails, it's a trip to the jeweller's for me, tail between legs. Update, 24hrs later: I decided to try once more before taking it to a jeweller. It was done in seconds! I couldn't believe it after yesterday's blood, sweat, and tears. The secret does seem to be in keeping pressure on the end link with a little light wiggling. So thanks again, Ute Watch Co guy :) Your calm, patient approach was an example to me.

The easiest way to do it is to push the bracelet endlink towards the watch case. Then push in each spring bar tip while applying that pressure towards the case. It does take some time to figure it out. Good luck.
@murph8411
@murph8411 Жыл бұрын
I have one with a considerable curve that doesn’t like being pushed in from the end and because of the shape it will only push in from the back of the watch. The problem is as soon as you put one end in the hole the bracelet end link is squint and it jams because it’s made to such a tight tolerance. This means the bar won’t compress properly and the link won’t go in squint (one end first as you show in reverse here or in your other video). I can get it with a slightly shorter and thinner spring bar but then it isn’t very safe and the pin rattles in the holes in the case. I guess the only way is to compress both ends at once. Maybe if the lugs weren’t as long like the watch you use in your installation video, it would be easier?
@itsallrobbish
@itsallrobbish 3 жыл бұрын
Remove it with this technique. Try to put a bracelet on with this technique, way more difficult (without scratching the watch or bracelet), so I have just purchased the tweezer tool you mentioned that we should not use. I’ll report back with my findings and just how many springbars I lose lol

Removing those with a standard springbar is easy once u know the tactic but there's some stupid jackass brands like TISSOT which uses a ridiculously bad design springbar where there's no gap for u to compress it downwards to remove the springbar/bracelet. On a leather strap it's easy because u can just have dental floss but on a metal bracelet with a ridiculously bad design springbar, that's ridiculous
