I'm so glad I did because I've never seen such an amazing talented Singer, Rapper, Guitarist, Musician, Writer, Poet, Storyteller, Actor, and an overall Artist! It's insane how all the recognition and awards go to shit like Cardi-B's WAP, while a REAL ARTIST like REN has less views than The Island Boys clowns. It's truly a shame!!!

Now that you checked out the trilogy I recommend you look at both "Money Game" and "Money Game part 2" as they're, in my opinion, absolute bangers and talk about some of the world's problems really well.

I started listening to Ren 3days after he released violets tale. The first song I ever heard was Jenny's tale (released 3 years ago). I had the privilege of hearing the whole trilogy in one day. Everyone else had to hear jenny, wait a year, then screech, wait another year, then finally Violets tale. He put his time into this trilogy and it shows! It can be analyzed and further broken down if you feel the desire to do so. Jenny took on Violets submissive nature where as James (screech) had Stevie's volatile abusive traits. Fascinating! Keep going Cliff. Ren has been at this for many years and he has his own personal tragic tale. He was signed by Sony records at a young age but they dropped him from their label when he became deathly ill. Bet they're regretting that decision now eh? He struggles to this day with auto immune disease (it's mentioned often in his lyrics). Anyway, yeah, he's got a vast catalogue of really insightful tunes and they can get pretty dark (as I'm sure you've already observed). In the interest of keeping you from burning out on the darker material, I'd like to introduce you to the lighter side of Ren. Check out his Collab work w/ his long time best friend Sam Thompkins on the original song co-written by the two entitled "Blind Eyed". In my opinion it's the best song to show case his vocal abilities, his rap flow, and his effortless ability to Collab. Also you have the benefit of being introduced to Sam, with whom he collabs often, who has in his own right a vocal talent to rival even Ren. Keep going Cliff there's plenty to see. And when you're ready for new AMAZING talent please move on to check out Devin Townsend. I'd consider it a personal favor. I survived my own version of violets tale because Devins music was powerful and relentlessly positive enough to make me realize that I didn't want to die. Music absolutely saves lives. Don't ever think otherwise. Keep writing, and keep reacting my friend. You may never know the impact you have on others just by doing what comes naturally to you. I love how he left the revelation of the twins until the very last possible second: He wrote the lyric of Violet begging to the doctor for their lives with "Please let my babies stay alive" which sounds identical to "Please let me baby stay alive". Such a friggin genius! 🤯🤯😭😭👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼

I just realized this after watching this trilogy's reactions for the nth time on how great that reveal was at 19:30 . The reveal about Voilet having twins and how the part where Jenny and Screech are twins were a bit prolonged. It definitely lets you realize it on your own. Cliff's face when he thought about it himself at 19:37 was great.

What a freakin ending, what a plot twist, what a crescendo, this is soooooo damn cool! Cliff his riffs remind me so much of Sublime. The lyrics, "It was a cold dark night in a London street." is a throwback to Warren G in Regulators. "It was a cold dark night in the LBC, on a mission tryin to find Mr Warren G." I love these references, the inspiration he takes from all over, and then his magnificent word play and beautiful guitar skills... He is a musical genius! You asked the question a long time ago now so i don't know if it's been answered, but it was shot and reordered live. Ren then spent a lot of time in post production mixing it and manually vocal riding! He didn't simply slap a compressor on the vocals and let the compressor do the work. Same for all of his live recordings. He manually automates the volumes and effects. It's an absolutely painstaking process!
