@@Hexenkind1 ha, yep, the lyrics are mind-blowing; I've very rarely come across writing that describes an individual's inner experience of a psychiatric drug like the Diazepam lyrics do. I rarely see people say much about his vocals on Diazepam, and it trips me out cuz to me they're so much more than "it's a song where Ren sings rather than raps and he has such a great voice!" Don't get me wrong, of COURSE he sings his ass off every time he opens his mouth to sing, lol, and of COURSE he delivers mind-blowing vocal performances on any track he's felt is worthy of releasing, lol...

We love your rants! And I’m glad you are connecting so deeply to Ren. Yes, he definitely has ADHD. But he’s found a way to channel it and tap into hyperfocus and other ways to fuel his creativity. Part of this was a critique of the medical industry that only looked at symptoms and misdiagnosed him for years (depression, bi-polar, etc). But he had untreated Lyme disease (bitten by a tick boi) for 8 years that ultimately led to autoimmune issues and even triggered psychosis. He had some doctors and therapists making him believe it was just in his head and just pushed more drugs. But some of the meds made his symptoms worse (e.g. inflammation). He finally went to an infectious disease doctor in Brussels that diagnosed it as Lyme disease, but it had already done too much damage. He ultimately found a doctor that did a stem cell treatment that gave him a second chance at life. He’s been in Canada for over a year at a clinic to help reverse the autoimmune damage. “Chalk Outlines” (live featuring Chinchilla) is a great song to follow this. You will also love “Diazepam”! Especially since you’ve experienced it. Just ignore the Ren haters. The more he blows up, the more pushback there is. But the Renegade community is very supportive.

@steviewattz

He said "derealization". And also that "losing patience with the process" is a double entendre, it means hes losing his patience with the doctor's processes of "fixing" him and it also means doctors losing their actual PATIENTS due to things like suicide and overdose of their medications etc etc because like you said their process of just medicating them doesn't fix the actual problem. Ren is the goat 🐐!

If any musical artist in the world not only deserve to be your first interview on the channel but would also be the most absolute PERFECT guest on your channel, given your background in human behavior and having gone through mental problems yourself and how ren has also and how he raps a lot about those topic, it would be him and it would be amazing. And If I had a million dollars I would bet all of it that if Ren checked out a few of your reactions to his videos that he would most certainly say yes to an interview! He's done plenty of interviews with other reaction channels! Make it happen hector! And everyone who sees this needs to send Ren some of hector's reactions. Let's get this ball rolling! I was misdiagnosed for years. 15 years ago I started having these "episodes" where I would have my limbs tingling. My stomach would flip flop. I told my doctor and he said it was panic/anxiety attacks and pit me on anti-anxiety meds. I had a bad reaction to them so I stopped taking them. A few years later I started waking up in the middle of the night with these episodes. I asked the doctor if they were panic attacks why would I have one in the middle of sleeping? A few months after that I was rushed to the ER barely breathing. My oxygen level was really low. I wasn't having panic attacks. I was having lung issues and I was suffocating. Up till I went to hospital I was told it was all in my head.

Keep it up man. I wanna hear ya. Some answers to questions you asked: - Bitten by a tick boy. He suffered from mis-diagnosed Lyme Disease for years. It's also a literal line. Step Cell poster boi refers to one of the treatments he went through. Lyme Disease has a lot of psychotic side effects/symptoms. So he relates because he's been there. - He had a Sony Contract when he fell sick. He's been an independent artist ever since. Sony kindly released him from his contract. But he's seen the inside too. - Many of his renegades can relate and enjoy reaction vids like yours, because, we too, get it. For example, I relate because I have one of the disease he was mis-diagnosed as having.

Oh my God. You said the words that are the solution: rewire. Not necessarily for Lyme or some other issues. But when you reach for numbing agents and you react a certain way, you are held hostage. “We’re complacent to assailants. . . “ The man is brilliant and so are you. #1 reactor!! 👏🏻

Just in case it hasn’t already been mentioned in previous comments bitten by a tick boy is actually a reference to the fact that Ren had Lyme disease but I believe he was misdiagnosed with something like bipolar disorder and given the medication for bipolar and things like lithium and antipsychotics etc. Which basically made him psychotic. It made him suffer from psychosis and he developed an auto immune disorder and general unwellness to a very serious degree to the point where he could barely function as a human being more, ironically he shut himself off from the world for like 10 years and having nothing else to do sitting in his bedroom alone made KZfaq videos about how he felt including one of him crying when he was only young at the beginning of his illness around 17 or 18 or so which eventually led to the attention of a doctor in the United States who offered him stem cell replacement you’ll hear him talk about stem cells in this song in case you weren’t sure of the relevance of that line he had a lot of success with the stem so replacement and it made him a lot better and then he had a second lot of stem cell replacement in Germany sometime later which made him better still but he still suffers to this day but is well enough now to start creating music again and thank fuck for that because his music is literally modern day Shakespeare tragedy and drama and my God it’s captivating

Appreciate you man, your reactions are legendary! You need to catch up quick though, he'll be releasing more stuff soon and we need you up to date by then! There's nothing quite like a Ren new release on YT, often followed by a Twitch live feed (and maybe an impromptu live jamming session) from the second coming of Christ (apparently, according to my Insta feed this morning, anyway).

Love your reactions, brother. It’s De-realization. Also he was frustrated because they were saying he was crazy but he was misdiagnosed which is why the medications weren’t working and in fact making him crazy. But now he is getting stem cell treatments in Canada after he met a doctor I believe in LA that diagnosed him correctly with Lyme’s disease. Keep up the Ren reactions!

Let’s fucking gooooooo!! To come with Ren, you must go deeper (down the Ren rabbit hole) 😏🤣 Also your ranting actually got me thinking. I got my ADD diagnoses as an adult after I had built up some very ingrained bad habits of self criticism and low self esteem to the point that I don’t think I can ever completely overcome the damage I have done to myself. And I do currently think I need the mix of meds I am taking. But now I also do wonder if someday, when external things have settled and I maybe manage to find an actual good therapist, I can maybe find a different way to live with my brain 🤔 It is certainly something to look into if I get past just struggling with surviving. Perhaps then there’s a way for me to work with my brain instead of against it. I wonder… Anyway Ren is a siiiiick sick boi. I am so hyped for your continued journey of discovering his art and what he is all about. And yes, the RENegades are a mighty force 😅 It keeps growing and will flock to anyone who is worth watching as they discover Ren and get indoctrinated into the RENegade #NotACult 😂 See you at the bottom of the Ren rabbit hole 🐰🕳️

Rens brilliant ADHD mind was stuck inside a body that became increasingly dis- abled by disease and dis-ease. Unable to pinpoint a precise physiological cause for his myriad of symptoms, which waxed and waned and changed over time, he was treated as if the source was internal and treated with an array of medications including psych meds #diazipam . His lyrics “ losing patience with the process” has the double meaning of LOSING PATIENTS WITH THE PROCESS; hence the pig ,wearing a white coat, AS THE BUTCHER. Ren calls humans parasitic, bleeding the earth of its resources As we evolved instead of using our brains we have become “complacent to assailants and we do what we’re told “. The irony that the source of his illness was from an actual parasite is not lost on him. REN’s lyrics often contain reference to himself as Sick Boi or to his struggles with his health but they are anything but unidimensional. He is both intellectually and emphatically intelligent and articulate which is why he connects with so many people.

You have to do 'Sick Boi part 2' now! :) Sick Boi part 2 is one of the best songs he's ever done and, as you're beginning to realise, that's saying something! The lyrics! Incredible! The flow! The delivery! The BEAT! :) Btw, you should REALLY watch Ren's interview with Zach Sang! I think you'll find it fascinating and fall in love with Ren even more. Just like the rest of us! lol. Seriously though, it's an amazing interview! Ren's as insightful, engaging, entertaining, open, raw and honest as ever but he really opens up in in this one and it's both painful and an absolute joy to watch/listen to! :)

The 'bitten by a tic, boy' is literal, he has Lyme's Disease which is from a tic bite... but the psychologist just told him his real pain was all in his head. Poor guy must have suffered through absolute hell, it blows my mind that he's turned that torture into creative masterpieces. x
