As a mechanic myself 45 years and counting it’s nice to see the job done correctly I’ve come across so many mechanics over the years who can fit a set of discs and pads in 20 minutes shocking really and I’m with you with the dreaded copper grease better using nothing if that’s all you had.

Kevin I’ve got Peugeot 3008 2010 electric handbrake can I do rear brake pads without a service scan tool!!! Pretty handy but never done a car with electric handbrake!! Cheers guys

There's something very satisfying about doing a good ole brake job. And with so many others bored with them or thinking they know how to do them with their eyes closed, it'd make you wonder why we get so many that are done so badly. You just know someone broke those retaining clips and let that car out like that.

Yeah Simon, from what I've seen - rarely done correctly

I fitted some new rear pads but they seem too wide and cover the whole disk. The pad is in contact with the outer ridge on the disk. I cleaned the pad retainer and the new pads are fully home but still make contact with the outer ridge. Any ideas?

Greetings, I have to praise your videos, they are very instructive and you helped me a lot, if you can help me, I have a lag like in your video and I have a problem with the last discs, I did everything like you, but still after a certain number of kilometers they start to brake on their own and so on time, I would ask for your help if you know why this is happening.

Otherwise good but "no copper grease on aluminium blah blah" is repeated on the video certainly some 40 times. Saying it once would have been enough.
