Multiple programmers according to the devs AND they spent around an entire year working on it and testing. It's definitely an amazing card ESPECIALLY if you know all the possible cards that could lead to crazy lethals because it apparently will always find them.

@@synchronium24 Oh without a doubt dude. I got triggered just watching others get random lethals with it. Bloodlust lethals from a weak lacki board when you're practically full health facing a NON shaman class.... It's gonna mean pro players will have to take a lot more lethal possibilities in mind EVERY single turn they know their opponent could have it in hand. Definitely game changing. It comes with a hefty downside though, however with each expansion that downside becomes less relevant.

The difference is that these are cards from expansions, not classic/basic. Those rules are for the sets that will never rotate out, and therefore will always define core archetypes in standard.

@@linkenummer6795 gives you a discover based on the current state of the board. enemy board full of 1 health minions? Arcane Explosion. Lots of minions on board? Sea Giant. Big hand? Mountain Giant. One really big minion on the enemy's board? Deadly Shot.

@@shaunhayes3072 If you run it in an aggressive shell like Trump's Opponent did, you have the hero power out fast but barely any good cards to run them with. Shudderwock is a nonbo since unless you go second and kept the coin the whole time or you have some way to discount him, you will never be able to double his battlecry. And even if you did, what would you get? A bunch of lackey battlecries, 3 damage pointed at a random target, maybe a Lifedrinker or two, a 5/5? That can be dealt with.

Somebody already said it but I want to say it again. I LOVE how Zephyr actually works as intended. I can only imagine how hard it would be to write code for that card. He has to look for possible lethals, board clears, hard removals, healing. So many things to consider when trying to pick the "perfect" card. Surprised that it works so well despite hearthstone having a history with bugs and terrible code.

Zephyrs also makes a lot of cards that you would never put in your deck a lot better. If a card is too situational Zephyrs will give it to you only when the time is right. So some wired cards will see more play based purely on their effects and not on their average performance. Trump will have to remember a lot more cards now. That is a huge increase in complexity.

for the singleton deck, they need to bring back reno, I think without a big affect late-game card the decks will not be as good. reno is was amazing before but now the power curve gone up so I don't think the adding back reno will do much harm

Octosari is widely considered the best card in Hearthstone. Octosari will be played at the top levels of competitive Hearthstone for ages, almost as long as its extensive tentacles.. A deck consisting of 30 Octosaris would probably be too much for Hearthstone's meager servers to handle, and leading scientists theorize that anyone attempting to create such a glorious entity may succumb to madness when they behold the pure shining brilliance. Octosari is a 8 mana 8/8 minion.

I didnt like Zeph at first, I thought the wording was too vague for new players and it wasnt reliable. But when I realized it was a discover effect instead of adding a random one to your hand, honestly I like it so much more now

Thank God we're back to calling "deck contains no duplicates" the Reno mechanic, and decks built for it Reno decks. Raza, or (ugh!) Highlander, just didn't have that iconic factor.

I'm wondering why that Shaman wouldn't play the 2 mana 2/2 that deals 1 damage to all minions. Sounds incredibly potent in a Shudderwock deck.

Gotta love such well programmed card like zephyrs that is immediately shut down by a freaking bomb. It's just like you making a freaking A+ project in the science fair of your school and getting a C but your friend who grown some beans in the sun with cotton got a A. Team 5 likes to make some gold statues and use as a door holder in this game, and then question why people don't enjoy it..

Trump spoke about it the card reveal for it. Blizzard and their algorithms. Basically, it will give you a card that will help you, no matter what.

There's some kind of special algorithm Blizzard talked about, where it will search through the Basic and Classic set to offer you three choices it thinks are most helpful to you in your current situation. So, boardclears when your opponent has a lot of minions, removal if they have a big minion, healing if you're low on health, direct damage or buffs that will give you lethal, etc. I was skeptical of Blizzard's algorithm being able to do this in a way that would actually work, but so far from the examples we've seen Zephrys does seem to do a really good job of giving you the best card you can hope for given the board state and your current amount of mana, that Shadow Word Pain was pretty sly.

So, from first impressions, Hunter and Shaman looks really good, aggressive and both have lots of value. And as expected, Warlock is way too slow with the quest and can't heal enough. You must run plot twist otherwise you won't be able to complete it. And Plot twist doesn't give you any bonus (the only one is with Betrug and Dorian). Yes I have seen that it kind of works, as Kibler played it, but for the quest, you would need more payoff for playing plot twist.
