Congratulations Paul ! this is the most iconic toy in the world and it is priceless . When I found it under the christmas tree , long ago , one wonderful morning, I placed it on a shelf and admired it the whole day without daring touch it ! Eventually I played with it and smashed it like the others because it had so many détails and small parts a kid could brake . Thank you for carrying me back to this happy memory of childhood !

What a colossal undertaking! All those rivets to drill and tap, plus all those castings! The part that mystified me was the stringing of the ladder mechanism! I was lost from the start. The prep and painting was your usual meticulous job...and on a much larger scale. Just a wonderful job, Paul!! Congrats!

Hello. I got this piece back in the 70's. I didn't play with it much. I still have it in the original box. Haven't seen it in years since it's in a box under the stairs. I hadn't thought about it or seen it in years until I saw your video. Nicely done.

My God, Paul! What a pile you started with! Practically scrap! I wonder if anyone who actually put these things together in the factory, watches them being taken apart and returned to their former glory? It would be hard to do a Code3 on one of these, but I could see it in fluorescent lime green, for an attempt! Great result, both on presentation and perseverance! And the threading? Add patience! Great video.

What a spectacular restoration Paul! I remember as a child my parents taking me to a local mall for me to select a Corgi. I don’t specifically remember seeing this model but I do remember my parents purchasing it for me. I recently ran across this model in my parents basement. It was in such sad condition along with other old die cast cars. I reluctantly donated them to a local charity. Hopefully someone like yourself will discover them and perhaps bring them back to life! Another stunning restoration! Nicely done! Just love it when you restore emergency service vehicles. Would love to know which one can reach higher, The Simon and snorkel you did awhile back or the more recent American lafrance?

As ever your work and the process you follow is excellent, if I get the time from my motorcycle restorations and graphics I would love to have a go, can I make only one point, I would think about using a white base coat or white primer before applying rich colours such as red and indeed the yellow. But I feel you must have made that judgement before starting the Job as it turned out so well.
