On his 2008 election campaign Obama *promised* repeatedly that codifying Roe v Wade would be #1 on his legislative agenda. But when asked after he took office he said docifying Roe v Wade was *not* on his legislative agenda, altho he had the votes. Dems decided they prefer abortion as a campaign issue.

Well Hakeem Jeffries, be very thankful you were not delivered the same fate of all those who's lives that have been cut sort, because of the miss guided steps of one's own past behavior that caused the loss. Now days a plant has more right to life! But even a plant when sprouted will perish too when pulled to pieces. Think about it.

He is full of it. The right to an abortion is not anywhere in the constitution. It was created out of whole cloth by the warren Court, as such it was bad law. The Dobs decision simply places the question where it has always belonged, in the purview of the states as all matters that are not specifically addressed in the constitution are supposed to be.

Separation of church and state is in the Constitution. Your beliefs on abortion are a moral issue, based on your religious beliefs. If we're going to enforce religious beliefs, let us start with adultery. Trump is guilty of that hundreds of times over. And there should be an enhancement if you commit adultery while your wife is pregnant. Trump is guilty of that, too.

If the logic of Genesis is right about the self beginning at first breath, then the first experience of the self must be "hunger for air." Which is a term from the science of physiology. * If this logic from Genesis is wrong and the self begins BEFORE the first breath, then some experience other than hunger for air must occur before the first experience of hunger for air. * Maybe the first beat of the heart. However, there is self control over the breath but not over the heartbeat. I can take a few deep breaths and then hold my breath for a certain amount of time. But I can't take a few deep heartbeats and then hold my heartbeat for a certain amount of time. Self control-- control relative to a self-- exists for the breath but not for the heartbeat. * The physiology is most likely that "astrocytes" (a kind of "glial cell" in the brain) are connected via "connexins"which flood the system during parturition. Astrocytes are required for consciousness, because the "astrocyte syncytium" is a basic part of the brain. The emerging astrocytes enable memory. And then memory involves the self. But instrumentation for all of this would be difficult if not impossible. * In its initial state of hunger for air, the self has developed only the shortest forms of memory. Long term forms of memory don't yet exist in this state. Logically there must be a first breath. And logically there must be a last breath. @@user-jr5mg4tf3l More detail-- there are molecular structures called "connexins" which flood the system during parturition. They establish connections that lead to contractions, for example. Connexins also connect the astrocytes to each other and to neurons. This results in the astrocyte "syncytium" which then interacts with neurons. The possibility (needing instrumentation) is that these connections produce the beginning of breath, which includes hunger for air. Curiously, since you can't get something for nothing, energy is needed to operate these connections, and the energy comes from breaking the bond of oxygen. So the creation of the syncytium requires more oxygen, contributing to the hunger for air.
