Another lump of broken tools in for repair, the 2 routers and sander are from the same customer here is the rest are from different people.
Not ofter i get these Makita Routers in for repair, normaly they are a good reliable router. One I would recomend myself. But this customer must be working them hard, to have one burnt out already.
The BO4900 sander is only a small repair, and im not suprized, its a lovely machine to use and a powerful and reliable tool. I have 5 Makita sanders myself and the BO4900 is the one I prefer to use.
The makita DHS680 Cordless saw turned out be cutting cement boards, so no wonder the guard was in such a bad state.
The Bosch GSH11E hammer was from 2006 and had seen quite a lot of work. This was a risky repair to keep going with and could well have resulted in a compleat waste of time. Luckily this time it worked out in the end. But I tell anyone from experieance, if you want to get into tool repairs, you will encounter quite a few boarder line tools like this. You could play it safe a not repair them, but then you turing away work. Sadly you have to waste some time and money on tools like this to learn.
Finaly the Milwaukee grinder, iv sad it before, if milwaukee would only fit a quality bearing to these ginders, they would have the best cordless grinder on the market. But of course they dont, they cheap out on the no name china brands and save themselfs a few cents, while costing you extra money.
These tools are clearly capable of work, but it is this cheap bearing that lets them down every time. And its not just the size of the the bearing, as even the cheaper makita dga452 uses a 605 bearing. Only differnece is makita use a NSK bearing.
