Just had a flashing PRNDS and I think my mech unit is the culprit, gonna read the code and maybe try and repair it!

Before 2010 the gearbox had an outdated black plate mechatronics unit, it used to shift gears at a higher rpm but was reliable, post 2010 the mechatronics unit got changed with white plate mechatronics unit which had better performance and was reliable too. If you want to get used one, then go for gearbox which came post 2010 with TDI CR engines

@@mastercar1527 thanks for the good information. I am looking at year 2017 with 100,000.lkms Fiat Dolbo 1.6 tdi. Trip tronic dual logic gear box Are these gear boxs any better for realbilty?

@@travelandtech2185 Yes, they are reliable as long as serviced and oild change is done at right intervals. Remember at the end these are maual gearbox only operated by smart mechatronics unit which gets is feed depending on speed torque etc and is constantly communicating with ECM, ABS, etc.

Hey there mate I have a jetta with dq250 I am hearing weird noise (like metal grinding type) whenever i press the break pedal and accelerator at the same time in both d and s mode Can you please help me suggest what’s happening is it clutch worn out issue or is it to with drive shaft.

I have a passat b7 TDI 2012 125kw 4 motion, with the same gearbox as in the video. While the gearbox is cold, it works perfectly. As soon as it warms up (the vcds shows over 65 degrees of oil temperature in the gearbox), the following problems appear - when moving from rest to R or forward (D/S), a strong shock and jerk. When driving, everything is normal. And the second thing I noticed, it doesn't matter if it's cold or hot when I drive it in manual mode, during strong acceleration when changing gears I feel a strong impact, while with mild acceleration the gear changes are smooth. I changed the oil and filter, nothing changed. Calibration was done in VCDS. There are no errors in the diagnosis. Do you know what I should do? Would cleaning the mechatronics and valves solve the problems I have? Thanks in advance, cheers!

Try with Mechatronics valve cleaning. If that doesn't work let me know.

@@mastercar1527 thnx for answer! Do you think it is enough to clean only the two main solenoids (n215 and n216), or do I have to clean all the valves in the mechatronics? And what are your thoughts about solenoids/valves from aliexpress? They are not expensive. Thnx in advance!

@@radulepg try cleaning all, reason being there could be metallic residue.

@@mastercar1527 I will clean everything, as you suggested. But I am afraid if I find metallic residue that it is due to damage in the gearbox itself. And that cleaning the mechatronics solves the problem for a short time.

@@mastercar1527 I will also look at the small filter under the n215 and 216 valves. He collects everything that comes from the gearbox, if I understood his role.

Buddy depends on the damage, if one solenoid is not working then it could be cheaper.

I have p2711 error code on my dq250 Mk6gti so it goes out of gear flashing spanner , I have 1,2,3 gears only before no 4,5,6 then goes into neutral and revs no drive , definitely mechatronics???

Buddy, it could be due to multiple reasons, either Mechatronics not able to sift, clutch burnout, gear worn-out or gear shaft issue, it needs to be examined.

You can, just examine if there is metal dust in the oil or not.

Yes, in the filter plus there are small vable filters inside mechatronics, if they get choke up you'll face the same issue

Well, we replaced it with another Mechatronic since the speed sensor was broken and was beyond repair. The solenoids were later reused to repair other units.

Check wiring and connection, if thats fine then check the valves and solenoids.
