Replace Brake Pads snd Rotos, Lexus LS430

7 жыл бұрынI used brake pad part number BC870. Put new rotors on too. The car is a 2001 Lexus LS430. These are a fixed caliper system so its very similar to Benz and BMW brakes.

For starters, torque on Lexus LS 430 lug nuts is 80lb.

Thank you for the very clear and concise video. I am tackling front pads on my 04 LS430 today. Dealer cost is $500. I got the pads for $50 and a brake piston retraction tool for $13 on Amazon. Saving is winning.

Thank you for the video. It is very helpful to see what you are getting into before you have to actually do it. Your video was very helpful in that i learned that i could get the new sensor much cheaper on line than the local parts store. I called the parts store before watching the video , but i have not went to rockauto.com yet. I hope you are correct. I am sure you will be............Thanks again friend.

Caliper bolts are single use.

Do you not drop the wheel to the ground first then torque to the specs?

So I jus replaced my brake pads on my ls430. When I brake hard, there's a clunking sound coming from the front driver side wheel. Any idea what that could be?

Are you sure you use the right pads? Was there any play in the pads in the caliper housing?

I'd go back and check every bolt. Torque the bolts?

Bleed brake lines too while down there

No need to if you don't open the hydraulic lines unless you have a sponge pedal or want to do it for shits n giggles.

Just make sure your Reservoir cap is a little loose to relieve the pressure when you compress the caliper piston
