The purpose of the notches on the rear calipers is because to the compress the piston it screws in on this model ford. There is a tool for it or you can use a spammer wrench for a grinder. These types are not suppose to be compressed with a clamp.

Is it really this easy to do brakes? I might have to replace a caliper too my cars been vibrating and squeeling and grinding so its like 3 thinds wrong pads, caliper, tierod, maybe balljoint control arm

They want 2500 to do rear brakes and 1 caliper and a tie rod im doing it myself now after this video 2012 ford explorer xlt

Love how you completely cut the video when trying to compresss the caliper piston. Magically the video restarted ince it was done. Also magically you FORGOT TO MENTION YOU WERE DOING IT WRONG BY NOT ROTATING THE PISTON. Instead of admitting you did it wrong and that the caliper has to be rotated to compress it.(Which you were not doing in the video prior to the cut. You were just pushing and that only works on front.) You used the magic of editing which cut out your entire mistake while you figured out how to do it properly then cur back in at conpletion without saying anything about your error. So conveniently pathetic. But hey buddy when you do an online video tutorial make sure you explain one of the most important steps so people will actually know what to do. Instead of editing the video to cover up an error, and saying nothing, just to not bruise your own ego. Because if they try what you were doing it will never work and a heap of problems will arise.
