Good job. Solder is the way to go. Compression fittings are trash and always leak, plus they deform the pipe.

Because of the comment above you lol I absolutely hate compression fittings. I rather install a sharkbite tbh

I’m just over it. It’s easy to overtighten and it deforms the pipe which affects future service. Many ferrules I pull off recently all have deformed the pipe and usually isn’t enough room to cut it back.
