Nice work ! Love the way you explained at the end. I like to think of capital gains tax as a penalty you pay for getting paid with a devalued / worth less currency as opposed to your assets higher value since its not your asset that changed its the shitty currency.

Why would the "bubble" pop if inflation is out of control since 1913? With the increase of inflation continuously, that would mean everything will keep going up and the value of the dollar will keep going down to the point of worthlessness which we are pretty much there. If you track from 1913 on, you see the price of everything has been steadily going up. So how could it "pop"? The only way I could see it pop is if inflation came back down and was under control. Then the bubble would of popped and everything would go through a price discovery once again. I don't understand how everyone keeps saying everything is in a bubble and will pop when there is an endless supply of dollars.

Flying cars are already being prototyped, so lets say theyre 20 years away from viability (fewer, in all likelihood). I think its pretty safe to say that FAA regulations have impeded this sector's development by at least 20 years, both by overregulating aviation and air traffic control, as well as by subsidizing its competition (i.e. making ground transportation on roads "free"). That is to say, a free market would literally have given us flying cars by now. So, without government, who would build the roads? I guess it would be the same people who build VCR factories, steamboats, and loin cloths. When Mike says we'd be vacationing on the Moon without government, he's not exaggerating.

Yes and many of us would be deceased from poisoned food and water (worse than they are), no traffic laws, and zero work place safety. Like locking your employees in a fire trap of a warehouse. Yah, that’s awesome, free market! Ask the districts in PA that privatized their water and sewage about the poor quality and tripling of their bills. Total win dude!

The point at which government revenue is maximized is not the point at which economic growth is maximized. The objective should be economic growth maximization which will occur at a tax rate lower than the tax revenue maximization point.

Mike I noticed on your first long term Dow/gold megaphone chart that the time distance between peaks and troughs is very exact; 30 years. Dow/gold bottoms were 1930 then 1980, So projecting this forward we have Dow/Gold getting around 1.0 or less in the year 2030. Not too far away!

Provided this chart is correct not subject to the usual distortion . Sorry to say many of Mike’s charts (especially his in house ones) are highly distorted. He learned this from Ronald Regan. Just look at the x and y compressions/expansions on his charts. I appreciate Mike for teaching me about money, but his financial projections, they’re just there to sell product. What this chart doesn’t account for is that the world is disarmed for the most part, there’s little chance of a massive conflict, the US has all the chips and owns the board the game is played on. The only possible way to lose our position is via internal conflict. This will be when PMs shine. A possibly, yah. A life you want to live, no. You’ll give a gold ounce up to feed your family or not be killed. There’s no “Im rich now!” You’ll be better off than the average person, but anyone stronger than you will eventually take everything. Mike likes his way back when charts but we’re in uncharted territory, might as well be looking at a map of Earth while on Mars looking for a gas station.

I had a new vehicle 11 years ago that became too costly to repair here in Canada. I decided to start taking public transportation and add 2 hours to my commute each day to survive. I refused to buy a used vehicle of 10K CAD let alone another new vehicle. In 2 years I will also be evicted and at today's rates my rent will tripple. So what is the plan? Cash out my 10 ounces of gold and buy a van to live out of while I work the last 10 years before retirement. A single person does not have the ability to live here in Canada within their means.

Thanks for the education, my thoughts on the Laffer curve are it also would have a hidden relationship to inflation via the fiat debt based, which is guaranteed to fail economically as it's value is automatically debased daily to maintain it's existence. Then there's the negative economic forces from the current geo political mayhem on top of that retarding GDP and supply chain issues. There's so many factors retarding prosperity, the illustration makes you think about the potential of Mankind if these forces were natural and not out of control without dire repercussions to economy, well being and prosperity of our nations. These problems can all be fixed with the right system and wisdom of leadership, I have no doubt.
